What should the Martinez City Council do about the Alhambra Creek beavers?
- Euthanize them; the city's flood risk is too high
- Spare them; they should go to a wildlife preserve
- Is an animal witness protection program available?
- Spare them but get rid of the dam

And you are a pathetic right wing jerk who never learned basic spelling. Who appointed you god? Who gave you the right to exterminate animals for doing nothing more than what their innate instincts drive them to do? Those beavers are not in any way hurting or threatening you. You don't even live in Martinez. Your attitudes about animals reek of arrogance and absurdly pretentious beliefs as to the superiority of humans over other animals placed on the earth. Your daughter would likely be appalled at your advocacy of killing those beavers for doing nothing more than behaving naturally. And to invoke the subject of abortion is nothing short of hypocritical coming from someone who has no regard for the sanctity of animal life.
Thank god people with common sense, which you clearly lack, stepped in and decided to do the right thing by relocating the beavers rather than murdering them.

Well, a couple of weeks has passed since this thread was started. Is there another, where there is a result of City and Citizen efforts to eradicate Beavers?
I was reading this morning in the Old Farmer's Almanac (my outhouse reading material), about November 24 - The Full Beaver Moon.
Meaning:
The November full Moon was named the full Beaver Moon, because for both the colonists and the Algonquin tribes, this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs.
__
Please beware, depending on your position here, to watch where you are walking-beaver traps do terrible damage to human ankles.
Happy Thanksgiving from The Farm in the Heart of the Ozarks.

One option you missed is to just let the City flood and get FEMA to pay for the damage.
