two thugs robbed the red and green market on 4th and K the owner is the nicest guy i ever met he works hard to try and earn a living has a nice daughter and will give you credit if you need it,this really pisses me off no wonder why they wanted to move city hall and cant revitalize down town they have turned it into a low income slum every one knows i can go on and on why i think the area has gone to crap but ile save it,this area is historic but worthless, this place is nothing but a place for gun toting thugs.i think they need to plow all of downtown area except for homes owned by people, businesses and historical bldgs and start from scratch oh and save homes that people rent and actually have jobs all slum lord properties gone period.

Hey Jerry, I just had to jump on here and say hey.... LOL
The funny thing is I do not think there is a 4th st. or K st. in Byron... I may be wrong everything is growing though.
Have a great Hump day....

You're right on that one. I think last time was Feb 2002 when some drunken former employee with a grudge against the bar owner. Hopped on a backhoe and tore down 2/3 of the Byron Saloon and the Wild Idol Inn.
"He once managed the Byron Saloon on Main Street. In February 2002, sheriff's deputies arrested him on suspicion of felony vandalism after he allegedly slammed into the Byron Saloon and the Wild Idol Saloon with a backhoe. The saloon's owners filed suit against him in 2003"
Sounds like good old fashioned Wild West Vendetta to me. Much more exciting than section 8 thuggery.
That's Mr. Peas to you Pardner!

We don't really hear much about Byron. It must be like the Switzerland of East County. A nice nuetral place that doesn't bother anybody and finds a way to co-exist amongst the neighboring areas on it's borders that have so much drama going on.
Knightsen is another place that we don't hear much about. They must have been able to keep that small town charm everybody talks about missing so much.

Wasn't Knightsen where they evacuated because of that RV bomb scare?
