Yesterday afternoon Cal's varsity rugby team kicked off the 2008 season with a 99-5 win over Div II power Humboldt State. On Saturday afternoon, the Stanfurd varsity travels to Witter Field for the annual Big Scrum starting at 1:00.
Be a true fan of Cal athletics and show your support for one of the oldest and most successful intercollegiate athletic programs on the Berkeley campus. Reasonable ticket prices, close up viewing and lots of fast action make rugby a great spectator sport. Come out and support the varsity team's quest for another national title.
More national championships are coming!

Looking forward to the Big Scrum...unless Stanfurd forfeits. Looking for triple digits.

There was a period of time when Stanfurd refused to play Cal in rugby because they always got beaten so badly, but that stopped a few years ago (refusing to play, not getting beat, lol!).
