i absolutely understand that rankings and projections are far from a sure thing once the opening kickoff is in the air, but i just hate that Stanford has a 5 star QB recruit. i hate that the new stadium/retrofit is being delayed. and i hate that the most newsworthy happening this recruiting season is the poor delusional guy from Nowhere, Nevada, who finally got Cal some ESPN headlines. that said, i think that this is a solid class, and i'm just as excited about the coaching changes that have taken place this offseason. here's to making opposing offense bend....then break.

i'm over the Hart break already... but nothing you listed was a LOI day surprise. the list you procured got zero national headlines... and as important as scholastic endeavors are, a bunch of 4.0 student atheletes does not a Rose Bowl make. i'd take my chances recruiting 20 top rated athletes before 20 valedictorians. also, while the continued trickle of recruits from east of the Rockies is great, i'm pretty sure that Forsett established Cal in Texas in a far larger sense (Armed Forces Bowl, anyone?).
