That is to say it is a total meatgrinder.
#5 UCLA just got punched in the mouth by UW, up in Seattle.
Amazing. Wazzu seemed to be having a let down but steps up to smack a strong USC team. Big talent Arizona loses to ASU yesterday. Oh MY. Bears seem revived as Ducks faded last 2 weeks so....Oregons turn around on them and CRUSHes Cal. About 8 of PAC teams can make a claim for the Dance. Who are the odd men out (besides the Beavs)?

Backrow,
Actually, I see 7 teams getting in from the conference. The 3 teams left out will be Cal, Washington, and OSU. The Huskies just have too many losses.
Will someone please sack it up and fire Braun!!!???? With the most talented Bear team in over a decade, they STILL ain't gonna' make the Dance.

You know, this season is just like the past five years of seasons. Braun ball is not good and not bad, just blah. I used to get excited about Cal basketball, but now I'm just apathetic. When they get someone in as coach with an exciting style of play and who can consistently win, wake me. I know we like to talk about the Bozeman era as being a negative, but tell me Bozeman's kids didn't play like they owned the court? It was the first time I watched a Cal game and said, damn, these cats can ball. Big change from Lou C, who was there when I was at Cal, and Braun.

Alpha,
Well said. Though I watch the occasional hoops game on TV, I refuse to attend a game at Haas until Braun is replaced. The attendance at Cal men's games is tragicomic. In the Campenelli/Bozeman era, Harmon Gym (though much smaller) always seemed to be packed and was always rockin'. Berkeley used to be a tough place to play. Now it's a joke. You think maybe the powers that be will ever figure this out, or are they just gonna' keep on extending Ben's contract?
