Sa[]ay January 19th saw the 4th annual Walk for Life in San Francisco.
It had thousands of people participating from the Embarcadero to the Marina Green. I didn't go this year but in years past I understand it has approached 10,000. I personally saw a couple miles of people abreast the width of street. It's interesting the CC Times just passes completely over the story. At the same time a gathering of 12 anti-war oldfolks in Rossmor warrants big coverage...and a nice picture. If any time 5 or 6 lesbians make any kind of public "statment", the Times offers breathless coverage. etc etc.
But pro-life stuff is just not their cup of tea. If they ignore it will that make it go away? Glad the Times is a "centirist" publication. Well european Reuters had something....

The answer to your question is that most of the Editorial Staff and Reporters either used to work for TASS or wished they had.

Not really. TASS had weak fringe benefits unless you like vodka. They sure read the NYTimes everyday and relish that view. Which makes this little notice pertinent:
"For the sixth time in a year, polls show increasing numbers of Americans not only think the mainstream media are biased but don’t believe them either. That’s the overall result of a new poll, and it’s worse if you’re NPR or the NY Times. Citing "significantly declining percentages" who believe the liberal media, the poll from Sacred Heart University Polling Institute said Americans see a liberal tilt three-to-one over a conservative one. But for NPR and the NY Times the ratio worsened considerably -- to four to one."

I liked your comment about the fringe benfits at TASS, Of course you are correct, I also have seen several polls that mirrored your comments, The Los Angeles Times has lost a tremendous amount of daily circulation they of course are blaming the Internet for their losses, a major pollster disputed that claim and found that the major reason they were losing readers was there Editorial content. Also the rise of 24-7 Cable news shows have taken millions of watchers away from NBC ABC and CBS all of whom in my opinion miror the views and dishonesty of the New York Times.

Dont be surprised about this. The media services are as liberal as the formerly great state of Kalifornia, and biased too.
