Since we're taking a look at the liberal bias of the Contra Costa Times, why not examine the other end of the spectrum as well? Perhaps in doing so, we can identify media outlets which are objective.
To get things going, why not look at their favorite election analyst Dick Morris, who appears almost daily on Hannity and/or O'Reilly?
Despite Hannity's shock and disapproval at Spitzer's behavior (getting caught with a prostitute), Hannity pays Dick Morris, who was also caught with a prostitute. Hannity and O'Reilly asked viewers and guests why Mrs. Spitzer would have possibly stood by her husband at the press conference without once acknowledging that Dick Morris had appeared on the cover of Time Magazine with his wife after being caught with his prostitute. Also, Morris owes $280,000 in unpaid taxes from 2007. Patriotic? Fair and balanced? Not really.
Perhaps his analyitical skills make up for this hiccup of hypocrisy. After predicting that Howard Dean would beat John Kerry for the ticket in '04, he predicted a Hillary vs. Condaleeza race for '08. In between, he predicted a tough Senate race for Hillary in '06 before she won by a landslide. He predicted that a 9/11 like response to Hurricaine Katrina would define Bush's second term. Is there any other reason to pay this man other than the fact that he is a recognizable Clinton hater?
Morris and his wife (the one who, like Hillary, stood by her cheating man) run Vote.com. It is funded by recently convicted (bribery) trial lawyer Dick Scruggs. Yet he'll still tell us why Obama should distance himself from an angry black preacher. Good job, Fox News.

Where is anyone criticisng the blatent bias of the Contra Costa Times?
Dick Morris is a very interesting person. He was part of the Clinton Administration, and he frankly hates Hillary with a passion. (I think the real questio is why, what terrible deed did Hillary do to engender so much hatred?)
As far as your comparison of Spitzer and Morris, you do understand thedifference between a consultant and an elected official, and why the later is held to a higher standard then a private individual?
As for the lack of accuracy of his predictions, I really do not think the accuracy is as important as his like-ability and attractiveness to veiwers. Fox News is, like any other private news corporation, driven by ratings. Here is a shocker for you, the public likes a Clinton-hater, especially one that was part of Clinton's administration. Dick Morris has great ratings.
Now on the bias you presume is attached to Fox News. Fox News does present all sides of an issue, and they do not make assumptions about what is in the best interests of the public as CBS, NBC, and ABC all admit to doing. Can CC Times claim, that they present all sides, and that they report all the facts? Clearly, as is evidenced by other local papers, they do not. Do they report the election on a non-partisan basis? Since they support a Democratic Candidate, I guess not.
So who is more biased?

Clayton old buddie, you never answered my question from the other discussion, I guess you must of over look it. No problema.
Clayton, Israel has been involved once again, in another spying incident against our U.S, Defense Department. They don’t seem to realize that it’s not nice for friends to spy on friends. Do you have any comments you would like to share? I’m sure you will find something to equivocate about. Do you mind if my country sends a mildly worded letter to Israel expressing our opinion that we don’t appreciate that stuff? Or would that be seemingly anti-Israel or anti-Semitic to you?
Seriously, as expressed before, I am really not anti-Israel, but I do not always agree with their actions (as you can see above). Can you come to terms with those two positions? I am sure your answer is no, but I thought I would ask anyway. :)

Clayton, Israel has been involved once again, in another spying incident against our U.S, Defense Department. They don’t seem to realize that it’s not nice for friends to spy on friends. Do you think that Isreal has any reason to trust us, given the extent of anti-semitism in this nation? Our ex President is making a fool out himself bending over backwards to accommodate and pacify Hamas and Iran, and he has compared Isreal to South Africa. Our President is best frinds with the Saudis, who have yet to accept the very existance if Isreal or of any Jews. Even on this blog the anti-semitism of posters such as Honesty2 is very blatent and very real. Do you mind if my country sends a mildly worded letter to Israel expressing our opinion that we don’t appreciate that stuff? Send any letter yuo choose, but know that it only represents your views. Make it very clear that it does not represent the views of all Americans and I will have no problem with it. Seriously, as expressed before, I am really not anti-Israel, but I do not always agree with their actions (as you can see above). Can you come to terms with those two positions? I am not sure why I have to come to terms with your opinion, but let us explore your sincerity further. You say that you are not anti-Isreal, but do you support their continued existance and their right to defend themselves? Do you acknowledge that every war fought in Isreal has been initialted by the Arabs, and that to this day the Charter of Hamas Is dedicated to the destruction of Isreal as it was on the day Isreal was formed by the United Nations? I think that you will support all of the contentions above, and yet still feel that Isreal should give the Palestinians back land that was fought for and won in a War Isreal did not start, and that Isreal should compromise it’s security to give Palestinians the right to return. Both of these propositions amount to a position that favors the destruction of Isreal. That postion is anti-Isreal, and by extension anti-Jew. Since you probably can not “get” the connection between being opposed to the existance of Isreal and being anti-Semitic let me explain it to you, (by the way most of my students get this without it having to be explained to them). Isreal is the only nation in the world where one can practice the Jewish faith and customs without fear of attack by the community. Believe it or not, hundreds of Synagogues are attacked, and many destroyed every year. Last year nearly 200 in the United states alone. The existance of a Jewish State assures Jews world wide that Judiasm will survive, even if their community is attacked. That may not seem significant to a person whose religion is in the majority; but it is very important if you are Jewish. To attack Isreal, symbolically is an attack on every Jew, so it is anti-semetic. Isreal holds the same symbolic value as the Papal City and the Pope holds for Catholics. In fact, history shows that the Catholic Church has committed far more attrocities, (including a cooperative role in the Holocaust) then Isreal, so is anyone calling for the destruction of the Papal City? I hope this feeds your curiosity.

Just after talking to you, I ran across an example of Dick Morris's rage against the Clintons. In his newsletter he is reporting that ... But now Sen. Clinton appears willing to mortgage America's cities to protect nations like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the U.A.E., which includes Dubai, which has paid her husband (and the Clintons' joint bank accounts) almost $15 million in the past seven years. Indeed, is it a coincidence that all three of the countries that she mentioned were generous benefactors to her husband's library? (While donations to the library remain secret, it's known that the Saudi monarchy gave $10 million.) http://www.newsmax.com/morris/hillary_nuke_protection/2008/04/22/90039.h...
Again, one can only speculate on the horror that made this man dislike the Hildabeast so much? What does he know about her, (term used loosely of course) that he is not sharing with the rest of us?

Leftist Bias of the Contra Costa Times / MediaNews / Singleton Syndicate:
"Since we're taking a look at the liberal bias of the Contra Costa Times, why not examine the other end of the spectrum as well? Perhaps in doing so, we can identify media outlets which are objective."
Woah Nelly! - Hold on just a minute there pardner... Apparently we are NOT going to talk about the Radical Leftist / Gender Feminist / Homosex Bias and Censorship of the myopic seeing eye watchdogs of the Times / Singleton Gang - because they just "Disappeared" the Thread for that topic.
The Threads formerly known as "A Critical Look at the Contra Costa Times" (as well as "What Sort of Sex Education Should be Taught in the Schools" have both just up and Vanished - without any explanation or warning...

"Menstrual Boy" Araujo 'Disappeared' Too.
The thread dealing with the story of the Rapist "Menstrual Boy" Eddie Araujo - who committed Rape By False Pretenses when he strapped down his male genitalia and pretended to be a womyn during her period - in order to scam a couple of fools in to Homo-Anal Perversions - Has Disappeared!
Gosh - what could have been the problem? Perhaps it might lie with the Radical Leftist / Gender Feminist / Homosex Thought Police who pass themselves as the myopic seeing eye watchdogs of the "Fourth Estate" (Executive, Legislative, Judicial & Tabloid branches) - when all they really are is highly partisan censors of all that is Politically Ungood...
Anywayyy... Here is the latest post destined for the Menstrual Boy Thread, perhaps I shall have to restart it myself... Ohso In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. George Orwell <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
(IVA): The issue of transgenderism may be coming to a school near you. The parents of a 9-year-old boy in Philadelphia now want his school to treat him as a girl.
This sexually confused child obviously needs help, but capitulating to this is to consign him to a lifetime of internal discord. Left unaddressed is whether this boy will be allowed to use the girl's restrooms, and what locker room he'll be assigned when he reaches middle school.
Johns Hopkins completely stopped doing sex-reassignment surgery in the 1970s when they discovered it did not solve sexual identity problems. Said a Hopkins professor, "We changed them, and their problems remained."
