One thing you have not made clear is your purpose to having a forum, and how these new changes in format implement that purpose. So, to clarify please answer the following questions. 1. Is the purpose of this site to garner opinions or open discussion? Your format suggests the former, and it discourages the later. You shrink the space for conversatin with each response, implying a dislike for in-depth conversations. Further you have tried to make it impossible to research opinions expressed in prior discussions--indicating that you do not want prior comments to be used in successive discussions. In addition, there is no referencing source as there was in the past so past conversations could be referenced. Finally your new format does not clearly indicate who is responding to whom.
2. Do you respect your readership? Your format if it simply looking for opinions and not engendering discussion would suggest that you do not. Your readership staticitcs would support this conclusion.
3. Do your journalistic ethics extend to the boards? If they do, the new format, for the reasons given above, would seriously jeapardize your professional standards? Or is it possible you do not think your readership is capable of judging your professionalism.
I really do not expect you to respond, because of the percieved lack of ethics and professionalism I hinted at above. I challenge you to surprise me.

And no response to simple questions. Looks like the Times does not really want customers.

Well, this is a wonderful way to get a response from the Times. Clayton employs the same tactics and boorish behavior she displays here on the forums by insulting the company for not catering to our every whim regarding a service that is offered to us free of charge, and then expects.... no, challenges them to reply. ( Again, typical Clayton behavior) Then says they deserve to go bankrupt, thus closing down the forums. Incredible logic.
