Seriously, I hope a reward is offered for the capture and conviction of these people. I hope every effort is made to stop this activity. When women with small children can't even shop in safety in a relatively busy public area like this, things have gone too far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be solved, and soon.
As a practical matter, we all need to take everything out of our wallets and copy it, front and back. Store the copy in a secure place. If the wallet is taken, you'll have all the numbers and info you need to stop anything from being useful to the thief.
this is why I do not carry a purse. sure they could still rob me. Lok at the purse robbery in concord the other day. the robber saw a purse on the seat of the car and got it while the driver was going over speed bumps.
i got my purse stolen a few years ago from my car. I laughed at the jerk who took it, because I didn't hve anything of value in there. they got a nice purse, wallet, lotion, lipstick, and that is about it. I do not carry cash, I carry one credit card, atm card and my drivers licence.
the minute it was stolen everything was cancelled.
i even got my id back. he tried to cash a check at the bank with my id.
They robber got nothing from me.
what an iditiot.

I can't wait until one of these scum attempts this on an off duty officer, and gets dusted (by the officer)!
