When hi profile low life politicians experience bouts of 'personal trouble', such as those recently caused to Smidgen hyrself by the injured citizens who dared to get in the Hi-Way of ole $5 Smidgen(New York Carpetbagger / CA Democrap Dyke Senator Carole Migden, experiencing another episode of career meltdown) during her recent freeway rampage, the trend towards mea-culpas always seems to lead to some sort of rehab, or a reasonable approximation thereof just ask Homosex Chicken Hawk Mark Foley.
However, Smidgens spin staff (having had a lot of experience in these things), appear to have various story lines prepped in advance... the quicker to explain away behavior that in any other individual would provide strong clinical indications of deep Alkaloid Psychosis. The latest spin / switch regarding causes of her high speed odyssey ending in highway carnage in a state vehicle (a hybrid no less, oh the Carbon Offsets Lost!), changing the focus from a Cell Phone as the Culprit, to Doctors, and as yet unspecified chemicals which may only mimic Alkaloid Psychosis, is a gem.
In searching for the right words of summation and consolation to acknowledge the current sad situation of a Womyn, who once upon a time, after ascending to the throne of the State Senate Appropriations Committee, boasted to the World: "Anybody who wants $5 is going to have to come to this Dyke and Beg for it" (sfgate.com 12/15/04 M&R report); I have turned as a pigeon homing on a fitting monument to quoting the Eulogy for Aunt Edna so movingly delivered in the rain by nephew Clark W. Griswold (chevy chase in national lampoon) before leaving her rug wrapped corpse sitting in a deck chair in her sons back yard: Yea, though the Hindu speak of Karma.
Speaking of Karma, in all its media manifestations, there certainly seems to have been a change of the reading of the runes at the CC Times, at least as regards reporting on $5 Smidgen possibly due to the new MediaNews masters, or maybe Vorderbrueggen was off this week. Regardless, the past practice of our Watchdogs has been to turn a blind eye to the scams of Smidgen, such as the Ghost Voting Non-Scandal; where she stole the vote of local assemblyman Guy Houston - Or, as Ole $5 Smidgen - Chair of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee said: There's no story there.
It once took the CC Times considerable prodding by a so called Conspiracy Theorist to even publish the Ghost Vote story (long after the Frisco Crock-a-bull did ( Migden crosses the line. SFGate (9/7/05)), despite fact that it was the local assembly district that Smidgen dumped on. A looming battle between two of San Francisco's best-known gay and lesbian officeholders already is splitting the Bay Area's Democratic faithful, Assemblyman Mark Leno, 55, is taking on state Sen. Carole Migden in her bid for re-election, and plenty of Democrats are unhappy at the prospect. Her friends and supporters already are taking aim at Leno.
Just days after the assemblyman announced he was challenging Migden, Michael Colbruno, a former aide to Migden, posted an item on his personal blog slamming Leno as the "kiddie porn king'' for his Democrat-backed bill last year that would have allowed possession of 24 pieces of child pornography to be treated as a misdemeanor.
A number of members of the (radical homosex) community screamed foul, and Migden disavowed the posting and persuaded Colbruno to remove it from his Web site. But Leno's biggest plus could be Migden herself, whose often-abrasive, take-no-prisoners political style has left plenty of bruised feelings behind her over the years, even among fellow Democrats.

Assemblyman Mark Leno, a San Francisco Democrat challenging state Sen. Carole Migden, knows all about the instinct of leadership to protect its own.
"I took a great hit this past year in terms of the number of bills I got through the Senate and signed by the governor," Leno said. He had 12 signed in 2006, three in 2007. "I would say it's a stretch of the imagination to think my candidacy had nothing to do with that."
Migden may get yet another formidable Democratic challenger: Joe Nation, a wonkish former state Assemblyman from Marin County who felt the power of incumbency when he challenged U.S. Rep. Lynn Woolsey in 2006. Nation raised almost $700,000 - impressive for a challenger - but Woolsey raised twice as much, including $700,000 from Washington political action committees, and won with 66 percent.
"That's always the challenge - people always tend to bet on incumbents," said Nation, who has commissioned a poll on his Senate prospects.
Nation's entry would thoroughly upend an already intense race between Leno and Migden, with San Francisco police commissioner Joe Alioto Veronese as a wild card. About 55 percent of the voters live in Marin and Sonoma counties, which is Nation's base.

Burton Holed Again
While the CC Times / MediaNews refuses to explain the nature of their deal with local politico Clint Reilly - apparently worked out to placate his complaints about the insider relationship between the SIngleton Syndicate (MediaNews / CCTimes & many more) and the Hearst Syndicate (Frisco Crock-a-bull...) and potential anti trust and related conflict of interest issues between these bought and paid for Old Media 'watchdogs', Reilly's latest freely published revelations in print are very interesting, particularly given his insider background.
His most recent piece was printed under the heading of a "Public Service Message" in the Times, but it is sadly not available on the Times website, which would have made this post much easier, which may well be why it is not on the net. However, a well connected insider like Reilly's comments about a Weimar Kalifornia Legislature truly not fit to pass gas, and the Hacks and Flacks that make it so - like Power Broker John Burton, are worthy of reprint...
If only because of Burton's close relationship to developing the Radical Gender Feminist / Homosex Power Structure now existing along the Sodom by the Sea / Sacratomato axis of evil... Sometimes also known as the I-80 $5 Smidgen (state senator Carole Migden) Freeway Rampage Route.
Additionally, his connection of the New York Carpet Boxer - 'Babs Bag It' (now Senator Barbara Boxer - Democrap SF) to her mentor and sponsor Burton, provides insights in to the Coke Driven Nightmare of SF Politics that propelled her own rise to power, as well as that of others like ole $5 Smidgen (who generally looks like Napoleon Dynamite in Drag having a Bad Hair Day after a week long Coke Binge)... Not that there is any proof that the drugs admittedly used by $5 Smidgen during said Freeway Rampage were illegal, as the CHP declined to test the Powerful State Senator after the Wreck that ended the Rampage.
Besides, only a cynic, or someone with no future in Government service, would question whether this decision to give $5 Smidgen a free pass on testing after a Rampage ending Wreck was influenced by considerations of hyr tremendous Power over State Tax Spending, when upon becoming head of the Senate Appropriations Committee Smidgen boasted: "Anybody who wants $5 is going to have to come to this DYKE and BEG for it!".
Anywayyyyy... Reilly starts out by saying:
"One of the most egregious examples of the Broken System in Sacramento is the dual role of Legislator / Lobbyist played by one leader - former President Pro Tem John L. Burton (Democrap-SF) when he was Assemblyman, State Senator and President Pro Tem of the Senate. I first met Burton when I was Managing Barbara Boxer's campaign for congress in 1982. Burton had announced his retirement from Congress because he suffered from a Major Drug Problem. His chosen successor was Marin Supervisor Barbara Boxer, who I knew and helped over the years."
"The problem, however, was that Burton was still active in Boxer's campaign. Several times an incoherent Burton insisted I attend 7am meetings in his office on campaign strategy... Burton never showed up. Usually he would materialize unannounced in my office when I was not there and wander the halls intimidating my staff with his irrational behavior. Frantic phone calls and meetings were filled with ranting and incomprehensible speeches. He was clearly still using drugs during the campaign when he was a U.S. Congressman and presented a real danger to the success of Boxer's campaign."
Reilly then goes on to describe a path of parasitic leeching off the Taxpayers by Burton and his cronies / family, including being given a nicely paid patronage spot at the Tax Trough by his good buddy 'Slick Willie the Lesser' (Brown), as well as enough financial conflicts of interest while in the assembly & state senate to make Der Arnold look like a reformer. For example:
"State records also confirm that while an elected State Senator, John L. Burton lobbied on behalf of corporations for transit advertising contracts on muni buses, artificial turf at Golden Gate Park... (and a host of others)... A lucrative working relationship with a Bay Area Mega-Lobbyist enabled Burton to conceal the identity of many special interest clients. When he left office Burton squirreled away a secret two million dollars slush fund from California's most powerful special interests, which he has used in political campaigns to smear political opponents... And state taxpayers subsidize Burton's Daughter, Kimiko (former SF Public defender) who has a lucrative appointment as California's Inheritance Tax Appraiser."
In closing - Reilly asks what must be a truly rhetorical question, which anyone with a knowledge of the insider scams of the Democrap Power Machine already knows the answer to, when he poses: "How can a State Senate Leader be an independent voice for public interests when he is literally on the payroll of special interests while serving in elected office??
The Answer of course is - Easy. Just Join the Democrap Party and adhere to their Mandatory Radical Leftist / Gender Feminist / Homosex 'Pander or Perish' agenda - and you can steal the 'Vanilla' (clueless voters / taxpayers) blind with the approval of the Party, so long as you don't break ranks on important issues - like Pimping School Children to the Sick Hatreds and Viler Perversions of this 'Cannibal Soup' coven.
Really now Mr. Reilly - It Should have been as obvious as the addled look on $5 Smidgens face, as shye plowed in to the car stopped in front of her at the exit she took at the end of hyr Senatorially Privileged Freeway Rampage.

Lawmakers returned to the capitol last week and they are already engaging in mischief. Following on the heels of a very successful 2007 session for the homosexual lobby, Senator Carole Migden has re-introduced legislation that will expand domestic partnership to all adults, not just homosexuals and the elderly. SB 1066 is almost identical to last session's SB 11 (also by Migden) that failed to get out of the Assembly.
Emboldened by Governor Schwarzenegger's proclivity to side with the homosexual lobby, Senator Migden will push this very detrimental measure through the legislature.
Under current law, homosexual couples and heterosexual couples over the age of 62 with a common residence may establish a domestic partnership by filing with the Secretary of State. SB 1066 would delete the same-sex and age requirements for domestic partnership. To grant domestic partnership rights to everyone is degrading to the invaluable institution of traditional marriage.
With domestic partnership, couples will receive all the benefits of marriage without actually be married. This "faux marriage" does not encourage couples to get married and raise a healthy family. Senator Migden has publicly stated that her bill is a response to the "changing family".
While it may not have the controversial label "gay marriage" that evokes such strong opposition, SB 1066 is a direct assault on the institution of marriage. If traditional marriage can be rendered meaningless by the law, then homosexual marriage will be the next step.

Matier & Ross 1/27 SFGate: Burton @%*^$!: That sexual harassment lawsuit that the executive director of John Burton's foster-child charity filed against him came as no surprise to friends and ex-colleagues of the onetime state Senate president. For years, Burton has been well-known his four-letter flames at members of both sexes.
The demand by Kathleen Driscoll for $10 million from Burton, however, was a bit of a jaw dropper.
"It's meant to be punitive," said Driscoll's lawyer Kelly Armstrong, adding that Driscoll also wants to use the money to set up her own nonprofit for abused women and victims of sexual harassment...
On Thursday, the day after the suit was filed, state Sen. Carole Migden, D-San Francisco, called the 75-year-old Burton to make sure he attended her fundraiser that night as the event's "special guest."
Burton himself is keeping mum.
"My lawyer told me, 'For once in your life, don't say anything,' " Burton said when we called.
"And for once in my life, I'm going to listen."

SACRAMENTO -- If Proposition 93 passes Tuesday...In what has been one of the more lively Bay Area Democratic primaries, Sen. Carole Migden, D-San Francisco, and term-limited Assemblyman Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, boasted huge war chests in their campaign finance reports.
Leno's campaign accused Migden of fudging her numbers and claimed to have the most money to spend in the primary.
"The only number that matters in these reports," said Tom Higgins, Leno's campaign manager, "is the actual amount of cash each candidate has available to spend in the primary election."
A message left with Migden's campaign manager was not returned.
Of all Bay Area lawmakers, Perata has the biggest campaign treasury with $2.3 million. He raised nearly $1.4 million and spent $1.3 million among five different accounts. He also rais

"Harvey Milk was a true American hero," Assemblyman Leno explained at a recent press conference. "He gave hope to a generation of gay and lesbian individuals whose basic humanity and freedom had been denied and dishonored." Milk was killed in 1978 by a fellow San Francisco county supervisor. Considered a martyr for the homosexual movement, Milk is now a hero for the homosexual community. The Executive Director of Equality California, Geoff Kors, described their support for the bill by stating that, "Harvey Milk knowingly put his safety at risk and ultimately gave his life because he believed that living as an openly gay man would help achieve true equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans."
The new bill (still awaiting a number) will declare Milk's birthday, May 22nd, 'Harvey Milk Day' for all of California. This is yet another example of the campaign to normalize homosexual behavior not just in schools, but in our culture.

Nation joins field challenging Migden

Former San Rafael Assemblyman Joe Nation announced Saturday that he will jump into the crowded race for the seat held by state Sen. Carole Migden, D-San Francisco.
Nation, 51, said he would make climate change and health care his top priorities. He works as an adviser on climate change for Environ International, an environmental consulting firm, and teaches at Stanford University.
The race for the Third District seat, which includes Marin County and parts of San Francisco and Sonoma counties, is one of the fiercest political fights in the Bay Area. Migden is being challenged by Assemblyman Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, and Joe Alioto Veronese of the Police Commission.

Those who follow the local newscasts have had a chance to see both Senate Power Dyke Carole '$5 Smidgen' Migden and her opponent - Coprophile Caucus Leader and Challenger Mark "Kiddie Porn King" Leno - on the bube tube lately, and a contrast in styles it was indeed.
Smidgen, a New York Carpetbagger remnant from John Burton's Coke fueled Congressional Empire now representing the Democrap Machine in Sodom by the Sea, when not engaged in chemical fueled freeway rampages in state cars - sported her usual death pallor bleach blonde medusa look for the cameras, kind of like napoleon dynamite having a bad hair day after a week long coke binge, only different.
By Contrast - Leno (another New York Carpetbagger) certainly looks pale and thin to the point of emaciation, but then the Coprophile 'lifestyle' has not proven conducive to good health or avoidance of the ravages of the various diseases that regularly pass through the Homo-Anal population in Frisco.

Proving the fact that no one is safe from the politically correct indoctrination being forced on citizens by arrogant lawmakers, Senator Carole Migden has introduced a bill that would mandate "sensitivity training" for caretakers in senior care centers. Specifically, Senator Migden wants training to "prepare them for the sensitivities of serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender seniors." This bill reveals just how far the homosexual agenda is willing to go in controlling citizens. Senior care takers are typically gentle, loving, devoted individuals dedicated to meeting the basic needs of their patients. A homosexual patient is no different from a heterosexual patient when it comes to food, medicine and general care. To require "sensitivity training" is to establish a special class of patients just because of their past sexual choices. It is embarrassing that a lawmaker would demand sensitivity training for some of the most generous professionals in the healthcare industry.

A new booklet called Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation and Youth is being distributed to the superintendents of all 16,000 school districts in the United States.
This misguided booklet was instigated by the homosexual activist group, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). GLSEN saw the "need" for this booklet when staff at GLSEN attended a Focus on the Family conference in 1998 where "reparative therapy" for homosexuals was being encouraged. Reparative therapy is counseling for homosexuals who want to leave that lifestyle.
The fact that GLSEN is the one who pushed for the creation of this booklet should tell you that Just the Facts is not an unbiased publication. This booklet was created with an agenda in mind. Hopefully our nation's superintendents will be discerning enough to see through this scheme.
The Just the Facts booklet derides churches and religious organizations that offer hope and counseling for homosexuals who desire to change their same- sex attraction. The booklet contends that homosexuality cannot be "cured" and that school districts should have zero tolerance for advocates of reparative therapy.
It warns school districts that they should welcome only one view on homosexuality-the view that this lifestyle is perfectly normal and should be embraced.
The irony is that people successfully leave the homosexual lifestyle every day. This particular fact is curiously missing from the Just the Facts booklet. That people regularly abandon the homosexual lifestyle is proof that reparative therapy can be successful and should not be disregarded.
Just the Facts is not about school districts being more "tolerant." It's about school districts being pro- homosexual. It's about forcing one viewpoint on all teachers, administrators, and students.
Just the Facts is not about the free flow of ideas, which is what education should be about. It is about squelching the traditional religious perspective, which has existed for thousands of years, and denying free speech to countless individuals.
We must be reminded that, here in California, the homosexual movement has already pushed forward with an anti-religious, pro-homosexual agenda using SB 777 as their main tool.
SB 777, which was passed by the state legislature in 2007, forces public schools to treat homosexuality as an option that is equivalent to marriage between a man and a woman.

Calif. campaign watchdog commission fines state lawmaker $350,000 By STEVE LAWRENCE, Associated Press Writer SACRAMENTO, (AP) -- The state's political ethics commission has approved a record $350,000 fine for a state senator who admitted repeatedly violating California's campaign finance laws.
The Fair Political Practices Commission voted 4-1 Thursday to impose the penalty on Sen. Carole Migden. FPPC officials said it was the largest fine ever levied by the commission in its 33-year history. Migden, a San Francisco Democrat, signed a stipulation on Monday admitting 89 violations of the state's Political Reform Act from 2003 to 2007, including using more than $16,000 in campaign donations for personal purposes.
Other violations included failing to report tens of thousands of dollars in contributions on time, understating more than $236,000 in campaign receipts and nearly the same amount in expenditures, failing to keep proper records and failing to spell out credit card charges.
Ross Johnson, a former state senator who chairs the commission, said Migden's violations showed her "complete disdain" for California's campaign finance laws.
James Harrison, an attorney representing Migden, said Tuesday that the violations stemmed from the senator's focus on her legislative duties and her battle with leukemia.
Harrison said Migden conducted her own review of her campaign finances after she was fined $16,000 by the commission in 2006 for failing to file timely campaign reports. She then voluntarily reported additional violations to the FPPC, Harrison said.te
Commissioner Robert Leidigh cast the only vote against the fine. He objected to an arrangement that gives Migden up to a year to pay $250,000 of the penalty, saying the commission should order her to pay all the money immediately.
Migden already has paid $100,000 out of her own money rather than tapping campaign funds.
A commission spokesman, Roman Porter, said staff members could not recall another case in which anyone had paid that high a fine out of their own pocket.
The FPPC's action doesn't end Migden's troubles with the FPPC. Even more striking than the magnitude of the case against Migden is the evasiveness of her answers about the many thousands of dollars of credit card purchases in dispute. After all, the law is decidedly lenient about interpreting campaign expenses, as the jet-ski travel illustrates. Now think about her answer. If you're Carole Migden, and you're locked in an extremely tough re-election campaign against two experienced and appealing politicians, Mark Leno and Joe Nation - and you are paying the first $100,000 installment of the fine out of your own pocket - don't you think you would know exactly what the expenditures in question were? A potentially greater problem for Migden is the FPPC's attempt to prevent her from using $647,000 in surplus funds from her past campaigns for state Assembly and the Board of Equalization. The latest batch of campaign finance reports has a little something for everyone to crow about in the hard-fought - and expensive - Democratic clash to oust San Francisco's Carole Migden from her state Senate seat...
Leno, who has been raising money for his run against Migden for more than a year, collected more than $142,000 in the first part of this year - but he spent $244,000 in the same period on a blitz of television ads and campaign mail, leaving him with $180,000 in the bank and $87,000 in bills..
Leno, who is termed out of his Assembly seat, has received contributions from several legislative colleagues, including $3,600 from Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez, D-Los Angeles, and $2,000 from incoming Speaker Karen Bass, D-Los Angeles. He also received $1,000 from Democratic state Controller John Chiang and the $3,600 maximum from Michael Tilson Thomas, music director of the San Francisco Symphony.
Incumbency has its advantages for Migden. Facing a $350,000 fine from the state Fair Political Practices Commission for campaign reporting violations, an ongoing legal battle with the commission over the status of $647,000 in campaign funds state officials have barred her from using, and constant attacks from Leno and Nation, Migden still managed to take in $125,000, giving her a $377,000 campaign bank account, with $19,000 in unpaid bills.
Much of Migden's money has come from labor unions, including the California Nurses Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. She also collected $3,000 from former state Sen. John Burton and $3,600 from Emily's List, which supports pro-choice female candidates.
Migden's fundraising could get a major boost this weekend when she seeks the official endorsement of the state Democratic Party at its convention in San Jose. If she can collect the support of more than half the delegates from her Senate district Saturday, it opens the door for official backing from the state party.
That would make it easier to gather what could be hundreds of thousands of dollars in money promised by her colleagues in the state Senate. The party endorsement could give them the official vehicle they need to back Migden in the June primary.
"Carole's been working on this endorsement for four or five months, and I don't think her opponents will be able to organize an effort to block it," Ross said. Leno and Nation are calling delegates in an effort to keep Migden from getting the majority she needs for the endorsement. If she receives the district's nod, Leno's supporters have vowed to collect enough signatures from delegates to force an endorsement vote of all convention delegates on Sunday.

California's political watchdog agency filed a $9 million lawsuit Tuesday against state Sen. Carole Migden, accusing the San Francisco Democrat of consistent and deliberate violations of the state's campaign finance laws.
"For years, Senator Migden has been deceiving the voters of California by filing inaccurate campaign statements, fabricating the elimination of committees and concealing campaign funds," Ross Johnson, chairman of the Fair Political Practices Commission, said in a statement.
"The sophisticated and pervasive pattern of deception by her various controlled committees has been ongoing for more than five years."...
The commission's lawsuit comes a little more than a week after Migden admitted making a separate series of campaign violations and agreed to pay a record $350,000 fine. This is yet another example of the campaign to normalize homosexual behavior not just in schools, but in our culture. We must continue to defend our traditional values despite the effort to demolish the very values that established and sustain our nation.

Casting a Wider Net for Online Predators (FRC)
Congress has shown its willingness to fritter away taxpayer dollars on everything from lobster biscuits to fruit fly research, but when it comes to protecting children, Capitol Hill's big spenders are nowhere to be found.
According to FBI Director Robert Mueller, that stinginess is about to cost us. At a House Judiciary hearing yesterday, the nation's top investigator said the agency can't keep up with the amount of child pornography that's mushrooming across cyberspace. "We're losing," he said. "It's growing," Mueller told the committee. "The Internet has provided the vehicle for expansion that otherwise would not be there... We have almost 270 agents working nationwide, but I'm not going to tell you that it is sufficient to address this." The task forces around the country "need to be funded," he said. "It's not just one agency, it's a number of federal agencies, state and local law enforcement, all to be integrated in addressing what is [a serious] problem."
Just how serious is it? Earlier this month, in the little town of Herndon, Virginia--population 23,000--police seized over 1,000 computers that contained files of child pornography. And that's just a tiny fraction of the known violators in one state! Unfortunately, far too many Americans--including our own leaders--fail to understand the dangers of child pornography or the prevalence of it. Not too long ago, psychologists at the Federal Bureau of Prisons studied 155 prisoners who ha
