We should just leave Amare where he is. I can't see why we would want to gut our team for someone who won't commit to being here past this year. How about the Warriors going after Drew Gooden? He plays the same position as Amare, he's an unrestricted free agent and they might be able to get a hometown discount. Gooden said his pick of teams are the Cavs, San Antonio, Orlando and Golden State (he actually WANTS to play here!). He's still young enough but not so young that Nelly would refuse to play him. And, we wouldn't have to lose Andris Biedrins, one of the really good young centers in the league. Then they can renounce contracts of players they no longer desire or can trade them for draft picks to rid salaries.
