ALARMING STD LINK TO HOMOSEX COVERUP BY TIMES - MEDIANEWS: The Bigoted Misandrist Bias and Thought Policing found in the recent Times / MediaNews editorial - which focused on female victims of STD / Syphilis spread - and deliberately ignored the facts about the Homosex / Homo-Anal population again being the primary source for the increased spread of such 'lifestyle' diseases.

"Syphilis rates up on gay male sex" (Washington Times) By Cheryl Wetzstein - March 13, 2008
Syphilis rates rose again in 2007, largely reflecting outbreaks among men who have sex with men, the nation's public health agency said yesterday.
The news dampens hopes of eliminating the ancient sexually transmitted disease (STD), which in 2000 looked close to eradication in the United States.
"STDs remain a major threat to the health of gay and bisexual men, in part because having an STD other than HIV can increase the risk of transmitting or acquiring HIV," said Dr. Kevin Fenton, director of the Centers on Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention.
"The resurgence of syphilis among MSM [men who have sex with men] represents a formidable challenge to our STD prevention efforts,

Hmmmmm... Topic Moved - to a more easily censored area no doubt. Too bad we cant comment directly on the stories yet, but they are still working out the Bugz - or working them in, as befits the myopic seeing eye 'watchdogs' of our bought and paid for Old Media... Woof. Ohso

Syphilis Up for Seventh Straight Year by Steve Jordahl (FAMILY NEWS)
The shocking revelation from the Centers for Disease Control that syphilis rates rose for the seventh consecutive year is cause for concern but equally so is the CDC’s explanation. The syphilis rate rose by 12 percent between 2006 and 2007. Sixty percent of the cases were found in gay men. According to the CDC, the increase is due to not enough gays getting tested. Dr Walt Larimore says that’s the wrong reason.
“When it gets to sex we tend to deviate in public health from primary prevention, which is avoid sex outside of marriage.”
The CDC also puts some blame on inconsistent condom use. Dr. Gary Rose of the Medical Institute for Sexual Health says that’s not entirely accurate.
“One thing that most people are not aware of is that, in terms of risk reduction, condoms only offer about 50 percent risk reduction if used every single time.”
The one thing the CDC will likely never say is the real reason for the rise: gay sex is unhealthy. Jeff Johnston of Focus on the Family says the gay community also has blinders on.
“Instead of taking responsibility for the actions of these men, the gay community tends to blame homophobia or Americans’ lack of acceptance of homosexuality for these diseases. Some of them even blame the promiscuity on homophobia. They say that because of the shame and anxiety because America doesn’t accept them.”
Johnson says the syphilis rate, and the rates of other sexually transmitted diseases will continue to rise until the real reasons are acknowledged.

HIV "spread through mini-epidemics" Tuesday 18th March 2008
Mini-epidemics of HIV have been recorded among gay men, a study has found. New data shows distinct clusters or "bursts" of the disease among men in London.
The University of Edinburgh study found many men who became infected with the virus passed it on within a few months, often before they themselves had been diagnosed.
Professor Andrew Leigh Brown of the University of Edinburgh's school of biological sciences, said: "By studying changes in the virus over time, we have been able to pinpoint its progress in stages through the groups of men affected, which until now has not been done effectively.
"What we have discovered is that some of the spread occurred in bursts, with groups of people becoming infected within a short period of time."
Researchers now believe specifically targeting bars, nightclubs and the internet could be the best method of curbing the spread of the disease by sexual contact.
Prof Leigh Brown said such a pattern had been seen occasionally among HIV-infected drug users but had not been identified in sexual transmission until now.
He added: "The tightness of clusters that we have found is frightening.
"The results raise concerns that a drug-resistant version of the virus could spread quickly, causing a mini-epidemic which is hard to treat.
"It is important that information on the virus is available to gay men in the local areas where they are known to meet, to try to arrest the spread of HIV and AIDS ."http://www.nursinginpractice.com/default.asp?page=article.print&article.id=9363

Condom Culture's Trojan Horse -
So much for truth in advertising! A full-page ad in major newspapers today sponsored by the Trojan company is loaded with misinformation about the effectiveness of condoms in preventing disease. The page leads off with the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) latest report about the number of teens (one in four) who are infected with an STD. "America is not a sexually healthy nation," the text warns. "We should evolve the way we approach sexual health in our country." Not surprisingly, the company's solution to the problem is supplying more of their product, which the ad implies would help eliminate diseases such as the human papillomavirus (HPV), chlamydia, herpes, and trichomoniasis. Trojan and their liberal sex education allies are out to persuade Americans that condoms make sex "safe."
Not so, says the very government agency that Trojan quotes in its ad. On HPV, the CDC's official position on condom efficacy is entirely contrary to Trojan's.
In its report to Congress, the agency plainly states, "The available scientific evidence is not sufficient to recommend condoms as a primary prevention strategy for the prevention of genital HPV prevention." While condoms may reduce the risk of chlamydia, herpes, and other diseases, it cannot eliminate the risk.
Teenagers may be half as likely to contract various STDs if they use condoms correctly, but the problem is that few of them do. It's an established medical fact that teenagers' correct and consistent condom usage is much lower than adults', and the effectiveness of the contraception decreases even more as a result. Beyond disease, condoms are not even a reliable method for reducing teen pregnancy.
About one in every five teens using condoms becomes pregnant within one year, according to the National Survey of Family Growth. Condoms are incapable of providing the protection Trojan claims they do.
Once again, the industry is proving that it cares more about profit than prevention. It continues to astound me that our society is willing to tell kids to abstain from the dangers of drinking or smoking but not premarital sex. If America is truly committed to disease prevention, and the emotional well-being of our teens, then we must be committed to abstinence--the only method that works 100% of the time. (FRC)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> IVA: The Judeo-Christian message about sexuality is simple. It's for a man and a woman in the context of a marriage relationship, period. Further support for the time-honored wisdom of that concept comes from new revelations that two supposed miracle vaccines for HIV not only offer no protection from the virus, but actually could leave individuals more than twice as susceptible to being infected with the virus.
Said one researcher, "This is on the same level of catastrophe as the Challenger disaster." U.S. taxpayers are already pumping around $500 million a year into efforts to find the silver bullet vaccine to put an end to AIDS, but researchers now say they are back to square one. Said a Harvard molecular geneticist, "None of the products currently in the pipeline has any reasonable chance of being effective."
Perhaps it's time for public policy to make a wholesale return to message of abstinence and fidelity - they still work every time they are tried. (AIDS research in crisis as 'miracle' vaccines actually INCREASE chance of catching virus | the Daily Mail)

Those were some very profound links. And the Geo Orwell quote was well placed.
