the final chapter in the disturbing Tedford era. After his (virtually unprecedented) coaching collapse in '07, Tedford lands (what is described as) the 6th best recruiting class in the PacX as a result.
With (arguably) the BEST talent in the PacX, JT's crumbling coaching skills gave us no more than a mediocre finish in the conference this year. So what will his declining coaching skills bring us with MEDIOCRE talent? It'll take 2-3 years but, unless the man gets seriously in touch with his inner Pappy (as in W), Cal is looking at cellar dweller status and the $3 million dollar man is looking at the door.
The good news is that Cal will finally rid themselves of this charlatan and we can begin to regroup. If the coaching money remains, $3 million OUGHT to buy a pretty good coach.
The bad news is that, in the process, hundreds/thousands more Alums will die without ever having seen Cal in a Rose Bowl.
Of course, one bad recruiting year won't necessarily usher in this fate and -- who knows? -- maybe the next DJ will emerge from this group ... but don't hold your breath. No, in not too many years Ol' Man Willy will come a-callin' on our man (as in "Will he get fired this week or next?"). Here's hoping it's sooner than later.
Personally, I'm still hoping that Al Davis or the Yorks save us from this endgame, but hope springs eternal.

If you're so damn "fed up", why don't you go back into your cave and hibernate for the next 7 months or so until next season begins. Otherwise, do we all have to listen to you growl and bellyache about Tedford until then? It's more than I can bear.

What the hell the F*&%UpButt is talking about. This is the first time a Cal coach leading the bear to 5 consecutive bowl games. We all wants to go to the Rose Bowl as much as you are. But, We don't just [bleep]ing about it to hurt the program. If you really want them to be successful, donate to the program, and protest to the tree hugger, and to the judge to have the HPAC building up. And, you will see a successful program year in, year out.
