I'd very much like to know who the person of interest is, and see a photo of him. If he's loose on the streets, it's probably information that could be useful to the public. It's wonderful that the primary suspect is in custody.
Entry through a sliding glass door -- why are so many of us running our air conditioning instead of having the screened doors and windows open in Antioch? Here's your reason. It's quite cool enough on many nights so that, with a single fan, people could sleep comfortably and keep their electric bills down. Alas, it's a totally impractical idea because of the likelihood of burglary/home invasion in this city.
There should be no trial for this boy or his playmate buddy as soon as the SOB is captured. The punks deserve death. If it was my house they invaded, I'd send them to hell!

Criminals have this nasty habit of surprising their victims, so the victim doesn't have time to respond. Makes sense doesn't it? Wouldn't it be nice, if the bad guys announced their intention to harm you, from a block away, so you had time to prepare? :)
I agree, bad guys should go to jail. Three time felony losers, should go to jail forever. I'm also, like you, tired of hearing that a recent crime was committed by a recent parolee.
If your tired of "liberal judges," just doing their jobs, then change the laws. Most of our prisons are "maxed out." Juvenile Hall in Martinez, only takes the most violent of the violent, because there is no more room.
I am not confident about rehabilitation, so we will just have to warehouse all these people, until we can find a solution to the most violent advanced industrial society on earth.
If you want to change the system, then we have to build more prisons..... so get your check book out, and send money to "California Prison Construction Program," in care of Arnold.

You say America is armed... With what? I don't see anyone carrying weapons either canceled or i n the open unless they are criminals. Why? Because law abiding citizens are only allowed to keep there weapons at home in a safe. What I am talking about is every law abiding adult citizen should have the proper education in fire arm use and every law abiding adult should carry a weapon everywhere they go. either concealed or in plain sight. Simple truth is if everyone was armed there would be less crime because cowardly criminals that would attack an unarmed person would not be so likely to do so if the odds of the victim shooting back increased to 100%. Plus if criminals are shot and killed during the commission of their crime we would not have to pay for their trial nor would we need to spend over 50K per year to warehouse them. The only thing the tax payers would have to pay for is more bullets and training in proper legal self defense.

Has it ever occurred to you that we would be more likely to settle minor disputes like mean-mugging and other assumed afronts with deadly force? Dodge City here we come! I certainly don't speak for all conservatives, in fact, I only speak for one conservative; however, let me explain why I believe some of the problem of crime is due to liberals. If you look at the most liberal cities, perhaps you call them liberal, progressive, enightened, or maybe just because they will vote overwhelmingly for Barack, they are considered the best cities. But, almost any list of the most liberal cities in the U.S. would probably consist of Berkeley, San Francisco, and Oakland.
Let's look take a look at these cities, Berkeley is being very supportive of the law breaking tree sitters. Berkeley is giving special treatment to Code Pink so that they can protest the Marines. They are able to get special permits to harass and bother the Marines. In San Francisco, preferencial treatment is given to illegal aliens. In fact, the punk that recently killed the father and his two sons is a convicted felon. I know we are supposed to call them undocumented workers; however, I'm not sure he has a job other than being a gang-banger. Allegedly, he was recently caught with a gun in his car and arrested. Even though it is believed the gun was used in a murder, San Francisco let the guy go. Then , he goes and kills that father and his two sons. Over in Oakland, the highest ranking non-elected city official called her nephew to tip him off that the police were about to arrest his gang. She was also getting in the way of the police when they were trying to tow his car. In my opinion, she put the policemen's life in danger. Being a good liberal, she did not apologize. She went on the offensive. It's been almost a month and still no apology to the police.
Do you notice a trend. the 'progressive, liberals' seem to be fighting the police and the marines. I do not blame the police for any of this. I believe they are doing their job and being hindered by elected officials in all three liberal towns.
A lot of problems in Antioch are being caused by a small group of people. When it is obvious their thug mentality is not appreciated, do you notice, they don't go to conservative groups? They go to groups that threaten to sue. They go to groups that play the race card. They go to liberal groups that will always support their lifestyle. In my opinion, the liberals are going out of their way to allow this thug mentality to continue. Remember, the conservatives voted overwhelmingly for the three stikes law. I believe if you saw what this small group of people are doing to the great city of Antioch and saw the people that are supporting them, you might very well feel different and realize all of the blame should not go to 'conservatives'. I honestly believe if there thugs were your neighbors and terrorizing your family you would probably blame them instead of the conservatives and gun laws.

I will, however, note some crimes are identified with a particular segment. Crime itself is rampant - nepotism in contracting, discrimination in hiring, fraud in the upper echelons of goverment, unlawful easedropping, espionage, price fixing, graft, illegal drug importation, stock market manipulations. Most of those things aren't happening in North Richmond nor in the trees of Berkeley. Unfortunately most neo and pseudo conservatives that I know can't and don't see themselves and the problems they cause in the name of keeping it like it WAS. Yet, when a perp gets caught breaking and entering it is seen as an indictment on liberalism. You can't have liberals without liberty but you can have conservatives meting out justice for all - but themselves.
