While questioning an Army General yesterday that total moron Barbara Boxer rudely requested that the General refer to her as Senator, he had been refering to her as Maam, If that cretin knew anything about the Military or Military protocol she would have known that it is customary in the Military to refer to your Seniors as either Sir or Maam, she was and is just a rude elitist who knows absolutely nothing about our Military or it's social customs, as far as I am concerned she owes that General an apology, of course she won't do that as she is typical of the arrogance and ignorance that is so prevelant in Sodom on the Potomac.

It is sad how some people are "hung up" on titles. As long as the conversation was respectful, I am just scratching my head on this one.

The General who was lambasted by that idiot no nothing Boxer was not only respectful as you mentioned, he followed the protocol that Military personell use when speaking to a higher ranking person. she needs to brush up on her manners, but of course she won't as she is just too stupid to see that she did something wrong.

Long ago, when I was but a mere lad, the words Sir and Ma'am were a required part of my language whilst conversing with my elders. Once in service, the terms were used for seniors as a sign of respect. If one had a problem with a senior officer, use of the actual rank was a very good way to let that be known without running afoul of article 89 of the UCMJ, Disrespect for a Senior Commissioned Officer.
But the Olbermann-Stewart crowd have been using "Sir" and "Ma'am" as a term of derision for a few years now and it seems to be taking hold across the entire left spectrum as a term of disrespect. Funny how things can change.

I was reading on FoxNews that Boxer is refusing to apologize to the General. There is a non-scientific poll on FoxNews that, as of 5 minutes ago, had 96% of the respondents saying she should apologize...almost 60,000 votes cast.

Sadly, Senator Boxer does not know that in the military we refer to our superiors as either "sir" for "ma'am".

I watched the exchange on YouTube. Granted, it was just the short 40 second version and I didn't see the entire interview to see what could have prompted her to say that, but it did seem a little uppity, if that's a word. I really don't have a problem with her asking to be called "Senator" if it's her preference, but she could have said it differently and saved herself from all the criticism. How about? "Do you mind not calling me ma'am? It makes me feel like an old lady... even though I am! [Followed by laughter in the audience and a chuckle by the General]
She should have left out the "I worked hard to earn that title" part of it. She would have just been vilified by the people who hate her anyway, instead also by the usually apathetic pundits that normally don't give a hoot.

feinstien,reid pelosi boxer, with these types of people and ideologies are the reason why america will always take one step fwd and two or three back. why did she have to be a smart as#$s and interupt like that? no one wants to know what kinda effort she put forth to be in that position,our generals have to win wars and fight battles dealing with these types of people. geeze

Mark Twin became a Master Mason at Big Bear Lodge (which has since merged with another Lodge).
When Bid Bear Lodge closed, the two pillars through which Mark Twin passed in getting his degrees, were given to Acalanes Fellowship Lodge in Lafayette when I was Master of the Lodge.
