To the voters of the 10th CD: We have an important job to do next week, on Nov 3rd. This election is not about saving the planet. It's about saving the country. We must snatch our republic from the jaws of socialism. We can not afford to send another Democrat to Washington. The choice is clear. Please do your homework. And then go vote. Thank you.
Come on... same old, same old. Yeah, let's elect a guy who doesn't even represent our district. Let's elect someone because he has " a long record of service in public office". Isn't it time for a change?! Good grief.
Your circulation is in the dumps because only one part will buy what you are selling. Enjor the downward swirl and understand no matter how many times you call me to get your paper for free I will always refuse. I will not help you spike your numbers.
"Years of public service" is no qualification to run for office - other than one knowing how to "game the system"....kinda like Enron. Look what all that "experience" has gotten us - a Congressional approval rating of 20 to 30% and a California legislature rating of below 20%..
1. Implementation of favored social programs.
2. Cutbacks in infrastructure maintenance budgets, while pushing new projects - under the guise of "creating jobs".
3. An ongoing inability to balance a budget, based on the NEEDS - not the WANTS of special interests.
4. A legislature that does NOT listen to its constituents and does not respond to or otherwise address their communications..... and (furthermore) is unwilling to deal with the facts when presented to them.
5. A legislature that continues to allow pay raises for themselves - in spite of their failure to perform. Show me any job in the private sector that allows one to award themselves a pay increase.
6. A legislature that does NOT read (and cannot understand) the very bills they're forcing the citizens to live with.
The last thing we need is another "public servant" who doesn't know the meaning of the words. It's time to kick ALL of the incumbent politicians out of office - along with their aides.
The reason the CCTimes continues to endorse the Democrats is because their readership is primarily Democratic. I've received e-mails in the past from the editors responding to my concerns about balanced news reporting - essentially, they're interested only in selling the papers to the readership that'll buy them. That means slanting the news to the left in a democratic county. Hey, it's all about making a profit.
Another case in point - we've been without respresentation in the House since Tauscher went over to the State Dept. Who's been representing us since then? Who's been taking our comments on this moronic 1900+page health reform act..... NOBODY? You know why? Sorry - you don't live in my district. Tough sh..!
For that, I blame the public - they're making choices based on what the politicians are telling them. They don't do their independent research, but are content with voting the straight party line - no matter what.
You are endorsing the good old boy "Tax and Spend" never-had-a-real-job Garamendi and endorsing every parcel tax on the ballot???? Have you NO CLUE what people are thinking right now? You will find out soon that we have HAD it with the Obamanoids...they had their chance and they have blown it in record time. OUT THEY GO. DO NOT VOTE FOR PARCEL TAXES....make them CUT their budgets. There is plenty to cut.
Harmer will lose by a large margin. He has no experience, no record, has offered no evidence that he knows how to get things done in Washington and nothing to offer other than the same old and tired republican't cliches and failed ideas. All in all, a wasted vote.

Change the name to Obama and the party from R to D and you would have the exact same point some would make against Obama. So funny how experience only matters when it helps your argument.
How about we agree one way or another in ALL races? I will even let you pick. Does experience matter or not? Let's lay down the rules for future races.
"No experience and record" - look what "experience and record" has done so far in a Democratically-controlled Congress, White House and state legislature. We sure don't need MORE of this.
"No evidence he knows how to get things done in Washington" - look what that "knowledge" has done so far in a Democratically-controlled Congress, White House and state legislature... other than severely mortgaging our children's future.
"Same old and tired republican't cliches and failed ideas" - replace "republican't" with "democrap" and you STILL have old and tired cliches and failed ideas.
C'mon - what happened to the "CHANGE" you liberals were clamoring for? Or is that like your idea of free speech.... allowing it as long as others agree with you? That sounds like hypocrisy to me.
Thanks but no thanks - I'm much better at managing money than the government is.... and I can live within a budget - unlike the government.
A wasted vote? Perhaps in your eyes. But that's your opinion.
The Bought and Paid for 'free press' continues to show why the vast majority of Citizens consider them to be bigoted partisan hacks for the Democrap Hate machine.
But at least the money they make selling out the 'Vanilla' (clueless suburban voters / taxpayers) keeps these mangy 'watchdogs' in expensive smelling flea powder.
Now if we could only get these pimps to use it.
Ohso
