Im Delighted Tom Bates is running for re-election as Mayor of “The Peoples Socialist Republik of Berzerkly”. Now Berzerkly Libs have a choice between 3 Marxist Morons.
Im proud to say Ive made my contribution to Berzerkly politics by being one of the prime organizers of the boycott of Berzerkly Businesses, due to the “Code Pink Protest”: Specifically, I contacted all airline employees in the Bay Area who in turn spread the word. And due to my efforts and other Conservatives, we hurt, and continue to hurt the economy of this Communist controlled city. When will this boycott stop? As far as Im concerned....NEVER!!! ;

Guess what Berkeley?
New republican in town. Your town council is full of socialist elites who feel they should be able to tell the citizens what is good for them- No dissenting views please!
Since moving to Berkeley in 2007, I am continuously amazed at how far and fast the city council will go to cripple the local economy. Berkeley has a great bond rating. Fine by me.
Let me know when I will not be harassed by street people, or when I can park my car on a city street without it being broken into. Please inform me when I will not smell the stench of human waste as I walk down University on a Saturday morning. Do you call it "temporary housing" when the dregs of society are camping in a storefront?- Seriously, walk down Shattuck or University at 7:00 am and talk to your constituents in the doorways. I am sure the business owners love the fact that they get to play fireman when they hose off the human waste. Please let me know when you will not encourage me to spend $7000+ on earthquake retrofitting (architectural, seismic studys, etc.- those city permits are a good revenue source, eh? ) and then refuse to grant me the permit to do the work.
I have a nephew in Palo Alto- his choices next year are Stanford, Caltech, and Berkeley. Guess what? His parents do not trust the town of Berkeley for his safety.
My father's family has been in this town since 1942, and now I am.
I would rather vote for elgeridge than you. Sorry to hear about Ms Spring. I am sure she will be hard to replace.
