For instance, Bill Hybels and Rick Warren. They are into managing people - controlling souls to do one thing - build numbers in their churches: FOR MONEY They now, for your money, will compromise God's Word which cleanses and saves a soul in Christ Jesus, to get your money. So if they can discuss with you in their small groups to find out what YOU WANT, to make you ~feel~ comfortable to then give your MONEY, they will do what ever it takes to keep you coming to their churches to keep their ~business~ going. It is deception with smiles on their faces making you feel good while they get your MONEY. The enemy comes not but to, steal, kill and destroy while they get your MONEY. They want you ~to change~ for their common Transformational Global good. These churches are practicing the Hegelian Dialectic Process - Brainwashing. Beware beloved, walk on by it and go not in lest the simplicity of knowing Christ spoil you through their Socialict philosophy and vain deceit. Do not fill out their surveys - they are clearly showing others that they don't know what to do until you fill out their surveys to please men rather than pleasing God by simply preaching and teaching the Word of God that men might be Saved.
Beware of false prophets. For we have a new bible these days which say, 'go ye into the world and take polls and surveys".

Beloved brethren,
Also, beware of the purpose driven movement and their small groups "how do you think, what do you feel?" dialectic philosophy, it's all flesh not Spirit.

Well at first I was disturbed that you say surveys have only one purpose. Yes it is used as a marketing tool but it can be used for good. We are to be reminded that we have been warned,
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity [lawlessness] shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
2 Pet 2:1 [NIV] But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Pet 2:2 [NIV] Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
2 Pet 2:3 [NIV] In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
That we need to always question the teachings of our leaders and compare with the whole truth of the Bible. We are in end times and need to be ever vigilant.
The thing that disturbs me the most is the reference to "brain washing." Because when I became a Christian my life went through many major changes and friends referred to my change as brain washing. I had joined a church that taught the truth, not just the things people are comfortable in hearing. I committed myself to Christ and He is changing me. So I guess what I want to say is that we do need to be aware of the true purpose of those we seek to entrust with our spiritual instruction but not to be so quick to judge without evidence. As a member of a small church in a small community I can understand when some churches try the marketing ploys of the world to get people into church. It's desperate times and so many have been turned off to religion for generations. So “How bad is it to give them a little of what they want to get them in to hear the word?” It's very bad. Because Gods word and law should never be compromised. So as it is with everything, we need to put it in Gods hands and pray that He will put it into our hearts to be examples that others will seek to study and worship with.
