I read the flyer at the gas station about BIMID declaring the levee as their own property and they are doing us a favor by allowing us to use it!?  There was a meeting about it on 6/10/09, which I was not aware of or I would have attended it.  BIMID is a pompous, self serving pain in Bethel Island's side and they never stop trying to walk all over Island residents.  We need to go over their heads in government and file complaints about them. If they hear enough complaints they might see the light and defang BIMID'S authority or even dissolve the agency entirely.  That would make a terrific budget cut and a dream come true for Island residents.  I think Governor Swartzenneger needs to hear our complaints right about now.
