I CAN REMEMBER SITTING IN COACHES MEETINGS GETTING BLAMED FOR NOT LOCKING UP, LEAVING GEAR OUT AND HOW THE DELTA BASEBALL LEAGUE LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN GEAR LAST YEAR BECAUSE OF THE COACHES NOT BEING RESPONSABLE FOR  THE GEAR PROVIDED.

I ALSO REMEMBER MR. BRAY BEING PRESENT AT THOSE MEEETINGS AS MR. McBRIDE WOULD TALK DOWN TO US COACHES FORNOT LOCKING UP OR LEAVING IT OUT.

MY KIDS WILL NO LONGER BE A PART OF DELTA BASEBALL......BACK TO LITTLE LEAGUE WHERE I CAME FROM.Laughing

As a long time participant in Delta Baseball, I can attest to the fact that coaches have left equipment out and sheds unlocked from time to time. So it is reasonable that the league would routinely remind coaches to be more careful. I agree that Mr. McBride's approach is not very subtle. I think the league is in much better hands with the new president, David Wood.

That being said, I agree that it really stinks that the person who was probably responsible for past losses as well would just sit there at coaches meetings and listen knowing all along that he was doing this. It's terrible! However, I do not blame or fault the entire league for the actions of one jerk. The league is a great organization that really has a good philosophy and makes sure that all kids get a chance to grow, not just in their skills but in their appreciation for the game and sportsmanship. I've been in other leagues that I also think are wonderful but Delta seems to have an edge on them when it comes to having the kids' come first. I can understand you're being angry but don't be so quick to blame and criticize the whole league for the actions of one.

I'm pissed, too. But the actions of Mr. Bray are not indicative of the families and volunteers who make up Delta Baseball League.

This gentleman also stole Little League equipment, so it wasn't just Delta that had their stuff stolen. I'm sure the coaches of the other teams that had things stolen were given similar instuctions to double check that they locked things up.
