Well it looks like nobody cares, but Freedom H.S. has completed the deal. Congratulations to Jordan Alexander for pitching a great game against Deer Valley to clinch.
3 teams from last year's version of the BVAL will be playing in the Oakland Coliseum this Saturday (Freedom, De la Salle, and Clayton Valley). Further congratulations are in order for BVAL Player of the Year Billy Wardell and Pitcher of the Year Jordan Alexander, both from Freedom.
It certainly appears you do Buck. Were you at the Coliseum last night? Looks like Wardell was lights out in taking out top ranked DLS with a 1-hit shutout on the big stage. Congrats to the Falcons.
So Freedom soundly defeats the vaunted De La Salle to win the highest class of the NCS, and the writers of the Times decide to vault Clayton Valley over the Falcons in their final rankings? Bizarre.
Maybe CVHS and Freedom need to meet up in an unsanctioned event, like Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed at the end of "Rocky III," to settle this.

Good question. Let's break out the game scores and compare wins and losses, and who neat who.

Then it's official-- there's something fishy about the Times' final ranking.
And BVALCHAMPS-- congratulations on keeping your name for another year.
