Does Cal have a no-huddle offense?  Do they have a hurry up mode?  Even during the good times I've struggled to understand Tedford's concept of tempo during games.   When you're down two or three TDs don't you need possessions to have a chance?  Now that Cal has squadered its chance to compete for a Pac-10 title it might be time to shine a light on the coaching staff's game management.

Tedford's staff seems to do a curious job of recognizing momentum swings during games and using tempo to affect the game.  When Cal got something going during the SC game yesterday, there were two or three opportunities to go no huddle and change the momentum of the game.  When they went with the wildcat and was getting 4 to 5 yards a play, they might have broken a run if they did that going no-huddle.  When the game was in the third quarter and they would make a good play Cal would take their time getting to the line...mind boggling.

Hey, at this point you're competing to play in an irrelavant bowl game anyway.  Let's try something new.  At least let's act like we want to win games.
