Hi There,

I would like to thank all our faithful customers  who have been patrons to our shop for the last five years. We will be closing our doors July 1st due to disputes with our landlord and excessive operating fees in the Garin Center. We will greatly miss our regular freindly faces. Our franchise will honor existing donation gift certificates via their Pittsburg location. We hope to rebound quickly and see you all again in the near future.

As for my employees, in this field they come and they go. I have been blessed to have a crew of 11 that has stayed with me over the last 2 years (some longer) until the bitter end. If anyone has any local jobs please contact me at spacewick@aol.com so I may pass on their resumes. They all give 110% and have some of the best customer service skills around. My husband and I think of them as family.

I encourge residents to continue to support the center and fight the conditional use permit for LA Boxing. The landlord of this center has not fufilled any promises to his current tenants and parking for this type of facility will hinder Spa Prima and The Yoga Centers abillity to operate.  They had already forced out an existing tenant. Festival Management Company should be made to uphold the promises already made to this city  and tenants including the extended day care center additional office buildings already slated for construction. They have made no efforts only empty promises to tenants to work with them and bring in new occupancy and lower operating costs. They have more than doubled their operating fees in the last year alone without any imporovements to the existing center and ignored lease caps on fees.  Maintenance seems to be only done when threatened by legal means and every tenant has become an evidence technicain in gathering information to protect themselves.

I wish the existing teants much luck in their endevours with the current management compay.

They will need continued support from the community to surrive in the current situation.

Have a Safe & Happy 4th of July.

We will miss you all,

Stacy Adams

Thank you for providing a great dining alternative to Brentwood for the last 5 years! I feel guilty as I think had I and others eaten there more that it might have made a difference. Maybe, maybe not.

"Lucy's Asian Bistro" is also closing their doors for good tonight and they too will be sorely missed by our community. "Lucy's" is a victim of the economic times (aren't we all?) as well as the Sand Creek shopping center's trying to recoup their ever growing losses by doubling or almost tripling the rent of their existing tenants. As good as Lucy's food is (was) they couldn't possibly survive under that economic pressure. It's a crying shame. Is "Strings" next? "Quizno's?" "Cha Cha Cha?"  Who's next?

Lucy's and The Cheesesteak Shop were great Brentwood establishments and will be forever missed. Thanks to both families for working so hard to provide great food to our community.

There are some empty spots in the Cypress Square center (Raley's) and I have heard that they are somewhat willing to deal. You will be missed greatly I know by me, good food friendly employees, I hope to see you back up and running very soon.
