Come and voice your concerns. This will change the future of our youth. Get INVOLVED! WHEN Thursday, Juen 19, 2008 TIME 6:00 - 7:30 pm LOCATION City Hall Council Chambers 65 Civic Ave 3rd Floor Pittsburg, CA 94565 Plans include charging patrons a fee to enter the Park (Sports Complex) Sport Complex (private controlled) with a little kids area vs. City Park (community park) I mean Community Park with a Ten Feet Tall wrought iron Fance. They say that "the intent of the fee is not to preclude individuals from entering the park..." What about the 71% K12 students who receive lunch cards? Complex OK, but not instead of our Community City Park! Be there!

Dear Daniel, The plan for City Park could be adjusted to accomodate the public and Little League needs. I do think that there are problems leaving City Park with "open access". According to PPD and according to coaches who use the baseball fields, used hypos are found regularly in the dugouts etc.   The idea is to improve the Park and add safety utilizing a public-private partnership. The devil is always in the details. Thursday night then to find out what the plans are, and what the community concerns ar abou that plan. I hope all of the Pittsbergers who will be affected will come to the meeting. Cheers! AJ Fardella Director http://ohcg.netOakHills Community Group Pittsburg, CA
