- This is an incredible situation:
- Are GOPs Mentally Challenged?
- Will they run off the cliff like lemmings in November?
- Will they sacrifice their political life for a Termed-Out, allegedly ‘Patriotic’, President?
- A Masada Complex or Jim Jones’ Guayana survivors without Kool Aid?
- Maybe they should consult with our new San Mateo Democrat Rep. Jackie Speier, shot and wounded in Guayana, not by “mistake”.
- Were they deceived into thinking that by repeating “We are making Progress”, over and over, it would become true?
- Did they forget Selma? No, not that one, the one that ended the problem of witchcraft incantations in 1690, in Massachusetts, Kennedy’s homeland, from which Ted said:
- “It’s abundantly clear that President Bush is simply trying to ‘run out the clock’ and hand off the mess to the next President.”
- What did he mean by: “abundantly clear”? That only Mentally Challenged morons fail to conclude.... etc.? Wow! He gets my ‘Profile in Courage’ vote.
- Perhaps the worst is the Intellectually Gifted General who sold out his soul and skills for 30 pieces and proclaimed the success of the “surge” in cutting down casualties at the same time that the Mahdi Army ordered troops to stop fighting.
- Are we deceived by, repeated, allegation of so much progress that we must keep 30,000 more troops than before the surge?
- Is there a problem in logic here? Why do we need 30,000 MORE troops, if we made so much “progress”?
-
Did you know that the “Green Zone”, the most heavily protected area in Iraq, is under rocket attack daily?
- This Siege started AFTER the surge,
- Is this “Progress” or “Escalation”?
- What would you call it?
- Your son’s future may depend on your choice of this word.
But, who cares about Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But The Truth?
The relatives of our 4,000 dead heroes?
And, the immediate relatives of the impaired-for-life in Iraq that see only life-long suffering ahead?
That’s right! Life-long suffering ahead for them, and those that care.
Can you tolerate more misery data?
Desertion and suicide rates are at an all-time high, beyond The Vietnam War, you know, “The War That Was Ended by The People” -some were ”Flower People”. Where are they now when we need them? Where have all the flowers gone?
But, we must admit Democrats have a similar problem:
“In Indiana on Thursday, Bill Clinton defended his wife, accusing the media of treating her like "she'd robbed a bank" for confusing facts. The N.Y. Senator repeatedly described a harrowing scene in Bosnia, in which she and her daughter had to run for cover as soon as they landed for a visit in 1996. Video footage of the day instead showed a peaceful reception in which an 8-year-old girl greeted the first lady.
Hillary Clinton has acknowledged that she got the facts wrong in retelling the tale. Bill Clinton's inaccuracies don't involve long-ago memories, but misstatements about how his wife has handled the story.
THE SPIN: "A lot of the way this whole campaign has been covered has amused me," Bill Clinton said in Boonville, Ind. "But there was a lot of fulminating because Hillary, one time late at night when she was exhausted, misstated and immediately apologized for it, what happened to her in Bosnia in 1995.”
“Did y'all see all that? Oh, they blew it up, Let me just tell you. The president of Bosnia and Gen. Wesley Clark - who was there making peace where we'd lost three peacekeepers who had to ride on a dangerous mountain road because it was too dangerous to go the regular, safe way - both defended her because they pointed out that when her plane landed in Bosnia, she had to go up to the bulletproof part of the plane, in the front. Everybody else had to put their flak jackets underneath the seat in case they got shot at. And all were covered by Apache helicopters. So they just abbreviated the arrival ceremony.
And some, when they're 60 they'll forget things when they're tired at 11 o'clock at night, too."
FACTS: Bill Clinton has many of the facts wrong. His wife didn't make the sniper fire claim "one time late at night when she was exhausted." She actually told the story several times, including during prepared remarks on foreign policy delivered the morning of March 17. It's also not true that she "immediately apologized for it."
Clinton has never apologized and only acknowledged that she "misspoke" a week after the March 17 speech, after the video of her peaceful tarmac reception emerged.
I personally watched her in TV, in real time, and heard her say: “I made a mistake, that proves I am human, which may be a revelation to some!” and smiled proudly?
But, Pres. Bill Clinton did truthfully say: “when they're 60 they'll forget something when they're tired at 11 o'clock at night, too.”
Also, if the Red Phone were to rings at 3 am in the White House?
