I'm hearing that the raised crosswalks on Camino Pablo Raceway are being taken out, the ones that actually curtailed speeding on that stretch of road in front of two local schools.

Can anyone tell me why? This makes so little sense given the police department's assertion (and my own observations) of speeding and near misses on that street and the reduction in speed after the crosswalks went in.
