Timely...I've been speaking to friends about this because in the span of two weeks, my husband received 'Is that you?' messages from ex-girlfriends who found him soley by doing a Google search of his name. He was perplexed wondering how they found him and I told him that lots of people get nostalgic - especially those of a certain age - and start 'Googling' people they once knew or loved. I'm not jealous, but I deliberately am not joining Facebook because I really don't want old boyfriends or people from H.S. I sat next to in homeroom to suddenly find me. Sure, there are times when this is a great resource - but I just feel that you make an effort to keep tabs with those you WANT to stay in touch with. The others are best kept in memory. Just my two cents. Yours?
