If you've had a wood deck like we have for the last twenty years and it needs more than just a pressure wash, I highly reccommend Professional Deck Restorations (Mark Rauscher 640-2451): reset all screws & nails, wash, sand, wash, seal. What a great young man! Great work. (NO, we're not getting a discount for posting this, either!). Very reasonable. We declined his 20% discount after what we saw what he was doing for us. He earns every cent.

I hope he got that stain off from when I dropped my smoked turkey leg on it at the last poster party. Sorry about that. ---- Did you get it all spiffed up for this year's annual poster's party, or does the fact you spent all that money restoring it mean we aren't going to have one this year?

We'll have another party. Timing not sure at this point. Probably end of April? Picture of deck before sealing:

Yes, after Brett finishes this project, I'll have to send you a picture after he seals it Monday. He says we can walk on it two days later (questionable). Irregadless, this will be the best the deck has looked since it was installed over twenty years ago

It's so nice and clean looking I bet you could eat off it! Now if there's any spills at the next poster party, we won't have to waste perfectly good food!

Well that's a stretch, but at least liquid won't penetrate!

Thanks, BJ. So much for the theory about picture size. That one (deck restoration) is 400 x 300 and it still shows up instead of a link. I think I discovered one quirk, though. If you don't resize your picture yourself and let the Board do it for you, you'r e more likely to get a link than your picture posted.
Well another blown theory....this (winter) was a 800 x 600 size, the board resized it to 400 x 300, no image link. The kids' size was 600 x 400 and resized to 400 x 300 by the board. Maybe they've changed something in the last few days?

What a cute bunch-o-kids. They're way too good looking to be related to you Roy. Who are they?

They're my grandkids. I had nothing to do with that, other than supply the genes.

Roy, your original post shows a link to the picture makes it look like you named your deck Angel's Camp? Is that because it's so vast, you can camp out on it? I've never heard of guys naming their decks. Mine is made out of that inpenetrable Trex composite material so I could name it Fort Knox. Stoney, you could name your deck Camp Tinderbox. You got lots of fuel to keep that smoker going though. LOL!

Naw, the naming was wrong, just happened to be in the same batch as our trip a couple weeks ago with friends. I'm the OFEC on the left.....

Ironstone Winery by Angels Camp. Drop-dead gorgeous grounds, nicer than most I've seen in Napa/Sonoma, although Cline Cellers rates right up there.

Oh... are you sure there isn't a "Y" on the end hidden behind that tree making it IRONSTONEY winery? The one picture just says RONSTONE, so maybe it's a tribute to our other OFEC member, "Like a RONSTONE Cowboy?"

Hey, I have been there for a charity luncheon and it is a real nice place....Soooo I don't think they were thinking of an old beer drinking fool like me. Now Murphy's Creek Brewery on the other hand........

Gosh, missed that place. Where tis it? Oh, fugedaboutit, I'm a good Googgler...We seem to be drawn to that area. Have a good friend that owns a dress/gift shop there, easy, scenic drive, too! Easy day trip, lotsa wineries' tasting rooms on the main drag in Angels Camp.
