Spring ball is around the corner. Who are the teams to watch? Who is going to be the Dark Horse? How many starters is each team returning? Will Ivankovich give Acalanes the spark needed to win a league title? I think he can.

Casey Moreno Says:

Dougherty Valley is a sham. They had a chance to be in the DFAL this year but rather chose to be independent and play a very weak schedule. Who did they play??? Look at the overall record of their opponents—its embarassing. They do not belong in the playoffs–period! The good thing is that they are forced next year to play in the DFAL where they will finish in last place not winning one league game—NOT ONE!!! I predict they will not win a DFAL game their first two years in the league because of the weak schedule their coach put together...

At this point DV probably has this comment posted everywhere.  I find it hard to believe the Dublin coach would have posted this but you never know...  regardless it should make the Dublin DV game interesting.

I will say that I do not think that Casey Moreno said that. The thing about those replies is that anyone can say that they are anyone. I can reply with a post claiming that I am Bob Lad and that I am going to taking over Northgate and turn them into the next national powerhouse. Plus I don't think any respectable coach would ever say something like that about another team publicly. He may think that but he would never say that to a reporter.

...True, but coaches (especially football coaches), do say some pretty stupid stuff in the papers.

With that said, I know DV returns all their starters...  And Yes, Ivankovic at Acalanes will add even more juice to the league.  You still have to like LL, Campo and Miramonte.  The other 4 - Dublin, Alhambra, DV and Acalanes will fight for the bottom.  Alhambra could jump up though.  They were young and talented last season.

The team to beat for the 2009 season will Campo, there is enough carryover from the 2008 season plus a strong JV team to feed off...depending on their preseason schedule, they could go undefeated...Las Lomas has a returning QB in Gorton plus good size in the line, but they won't be the same team as in the past...Miramonte lost both QB's to grad and will have some rebuilding to do.....Alhambra has a strong backfield and some speed, plus good size in the line....If the Bulldogs don't selfdestruct like they did last year, then they will be tough....Dublin and Acalanes both have work to do and DV will be a team despite a weak schedule last year with a whole team returning and a season under their belts will be a team not to turn your back on.....They were clobbered by Ferndale in the play off 56-8, so this should be a eye opener for them.....The 2009 season should end with...Campo, Alhambra,LL,Miramonte,Acalanes,Dublin and DV in that order......

Alhambra has a very good running back coming up from the JV's, he is big and fast, plus some line men that may help....the big problem is a lack of aggressiveness on the Bulldog line...Other problem is commenting pentalities....This is a project the Bulldog's must fix....Also, to make use of such a group of runners....the Buldogs must revise the offense from what they have been running and make use of this crew....I still think Campo is the team to beat....Its early, so any thing will happen.....

I think Alhambra will turn it around after the season they had last year. Their line will not be a problem as it was very dominant last year considering the youth it had. The major concerns they have are in their quarterback, who will most likely be much improved after being thrown to the lions in his junior year, and the defense, which seemed to give up alot of points.

What does Alhambra have coming back?

I didn tthink they were good this year but th way some are talking about them i am assuming they have a ton coming back for the 2009 season.

LL, Campo, and Miramonte have such great coaches that i think they will always be at the top

John1112.....The Bulldogs have a QB, three running backs, four OF line men and the same for defense...Plus this 190 pounder from the Jv's which runs like a horse and is hard to stop...They also have about eight linemen from the Jv's moving up...They could be tough, but they have to reduce the penalties and fumbles....their currrent offense needs change to make use of all the running backs which would make the Bulldogs real dangerous.....The number of returnees may flipflop, but its pretty close....Like i said, Alhambra was in selfdestruct mode last year, so its up to them get organizated.....

My view is that alhambra is the team to beat LL second but dont sleep on dublin they have a good running game may be the best in the dfal if you ask me a real good QB coming up from Jv and the D fence will in improve

Dublin has a solid running game but needs to get better during off season to be s uccessfuly this upcoming season.. just like you said, if some of the kids are not going to play this year, they might not improve but Dublin has chance to step up this year

4-18-09 Dublin is in a new home building area which means a lot of fresh kids moving into the area which also boosts the chances of the Gaels coming up will a pretty solid team...I think they will have a 500 season and will give some teams a tough time....And as time goes by, there is a good chance they may move to the EBAL athough they wan to stay in the DFAL.....

4-18-09 Highschoolfootball 2008......EBAL might make Dublin the door mat for a while, but i doubt they will be leaving the DFAL for several years, at least until their student body reaches a much higher level.....And I haven't heard about any transfers to dublin so far, but with this coming summer there is a good chance that some one might show up, but that goes for ever team.....

I think Dougherty Valley will go to the EBAL before Dublin does. Even though Dublin is growing, it is still much smaller than all the EBAL schools.

4-19-09 001...Highschoolfootball08......DV's location if construction takes off again will boost the student body by quite a bit....I think 001 is right, DV will be the first to go...But they will be drawing from fresh youth which should make them able to deal with the EBAL down the road...Most of the EBAL teams except for Livermore maybe have almost maxed out in population and should hold firm...Down the road, its possible that the EBAL may be split in half which will give each team more preseason games.......

Probably there will be realignment in 2012. When this happens the populations at DV and Dublin will be looked at. The problem is that DV is in the SRVUSD and will be pushed to the EBAL because that's what all the other schools are doing. Dublin is it's own entity and will do whatever it wants. If they did add those schools, I do agree that some type of split will be made. The EBAL will consist of DLS, MV, SRV, CAl, DV, AMA, Foot, Gra, and Liv. That's 9 teams, or about 2 teams too many. Add Dublin and you've got 10. I would suspect geographically something like EBAL North (DLS, MV, SRV, DV, Cal) and South (AMA, Foot, Gra, Liv, Dub) who knows. I still see equity as an issue. DV would never win a game in the north and Dublin would never win a game in the south, so I don't know why they'd do it. Just keep it the way it is. DV is such an unknown. I'll be very surprised if DV or Dublin rise to the DFAL middle this season. You've got 2 lower end DFAL schools and then you'd want to put them in the EBAL? Can't see it. You can go the enrollment route I guess, but it'd make for bad ball.

I believe over the years Dublin has been a member of the EBAL at some time in the past. Berkeley and Castro Valley also. I also remember Monte Vista being part of the BVAL. Could be wrong on some of those, but that is what I seem to recall.

I guess we'll have to see how fast either DV or Dublin grow over the next two years, as there will be no movement prior to 2012, so they will likely make those decisions based on those schools' enrollment in 2011 for the following season. Until then, they will continue to grow and that could help them be more of a factor in the DFAL race.

4-23-09 001.......You are right, Dublin was part of the EBAL but left as they were having a rough time and it seems that Berkeley and Castro Valley were part of the EBAL for a short period and you are not wrong on any of these. When you consider that 2012 is two years away, I don't think that either Dublin or DV will grow that much due to the current housing slow down.....It could be the next league shuffle before any changes take place, but Dublin and DV will get stronger as you said and cause some trouble for the DFAL maybe.....

4-23-09 Runslikethe wind.......I think you have to give DV a chance to prove them selves in the DFAL...They are in a growth area and it will take at least two years and then they will be ready....In the EBAL, some of the school dists. have reached the growth and will level off and maybe go into a small decline......Dublin is slowly on the rise and they will win some games this year.....Its possible that DV and Dublin could move to the EBAL, but that may not happen until 2015 or later...And if both team do go into the EBAL and like you say a north and a south, then this will give all the teams preseason games which all teams need to smooth out the rough spots.....

Bluedog, I've been following these forums for years and you've always been the voice of reason, and as usual you make sense here too, but... We'll really have to wait and see. I know the DV kids were scrappy last season, but scrappy will get you 2-8 or 0-6 in the DFAL. They may have the occasional good performance, but I don't see their players outplaying or their coaches outcoaching anyone. As far as Dublin goes, rumor was / is Moreno applied for the Cal High job. True or not, the players will get wind of it and think he's trying to abandon them. Of course rumor is that Longero and Wade also applied, so go figure. I think DV and Dublin should just play a 10 game season between them for supreme control of the SR / Dublin border. Believe it or not that was a fun game last season... pretty highly charged for two borderline mediocre teams. That will be a fun game to watch again this year... maybe. As far as the EBAL, they should just rename it the Sublime Football Ath League. It should be an open audition, coaches should have to prove why their teams belong there, or they're voted off the island. That would save us from DLS Vs Livermore, or even worse DLS vs Dublin or DLS vs DV. Put in Berkeley, Logan, San Leandro, Pittsburg, Deer Valley... man I'm getting charged up, those are some good schools, you know what, we're pretty lucky to have some pretty good programs around here. even the DFAL, granted it's a mini notch below the EBAL (enrollment is the difference) but man those kids and programs go at it... Is it September yet?

Runslikethe wind.......Dougherty Valley took a pounding in the 2008 playoff first game 56-08 by Ferndale and if you look at the size of the DV team, they are not the biggest team in town. Number wise they field a large team....But if they are quick, it could make up for the size...alex Small is the biggest of the three QB's at 5-11 and a senior this year and may be a guiding light....There are plenty of if's for the Wildcats and when they move up to the DFAL it will be like night and day verse's the 2008 season....Either bad things will happen or DV will make a showing....And you are right, both Dublin and DV could have a rough time, but I still think Dublin will be a 500 team for the 2009 season......and I'm wondering how long will the EBAL teams continue to be the whipping boy for DLS before they ask DLS to leave...Monte vista scored some points against DLS, but they were always far behind and California gave DLS a true game but were always behind  also......This year, DLS will crush almost every EBAL team as they have a extremely strong defense for the 2009 season and most likely will have their offense in high gear as usual....If the EBAL teams want to stop DLS...then they will have to play DLS's game and not their own, which means almost no mistakes......

Bluedog makes many good points.  I wonder when the EBAL is going to wise up and allow DLS football to do what they did in the BVAL.  Have DLS only play 5 EBAL league games and dont let them compete for the EBAL league title. DLS vs Livermore/Granada year in and year out is a waste of time.

Teams start to improve their efforts to match up with them.

These are not the Super Bowl Champions. They are not unbeatable. DLS (regardless of whether or not you believe they recruit) gets good athletes and good football players. They are generally a good sized team, but I would bet that every year they play at least a couple of teams that are bigger and/or faster than they are.

The difference is Coach Lad. He has instilled a dedication in these kids that exceeds what other teams (kids) in the area have been willing to put forth. California HS was starting to get there because of Coach Sanchez. One can only hope that his replacement will be able to build upon what he's left.

Rather than have a league kowtow to DLS yet again, why don't some kids take it upon themselves to beat those guys. Be the first East Bay School in years to take one from DLS. That seems to me to be a true competitor’s way of handling it.

... Easy to say very difficult to do...  And I feel guilty helping to move this DFAL forum to an EBAL forum.  Typical though, the DFAL is the goofy stepchild that everyone looks at and says "well he's almost as cute as the other kids."...  someday it'll be a swan.  ...  Like it must be hard to be Angelina Jolie's sister.

Epethree......If the kids in the EBAL watched the Pittsburg/DLS game...there was a lot to be learned.....Every one has to step up their play and like you say commitment....The EBAL has all summer to prepare for the task of stopping DLS and it can be done...but its up to the EBAL teams.....or they will pay the price

Monte Vista played DLS to within 10 points this year, although DLS led throughout. Cal only lost by 7, and it was tied with just 4 minutes left. Sure, DLS blew out both Foothill and SRV, but all these are quality teams, and each has a chance of beating DLS on a given day, if they play mistake free football like DLS and get a few breaks. I'm sure the EBAL coaches all learned a lot about DLS this season, even before they played Pitt. They each got an up close and personal loss during the season, and have a whole year to gear up for a rematch.

001....I sure hope you are right about the EBAL teams......DLS will have a solid defense in 2009 and the offense can't be too far behind....Most of the EBAL teams lost a lot of guys to grad , so there is a lot of work ahead for the EBAL teams....Just maybe...DLS will drop its guard during the season and we will see something happen.....

I just can't see DLS dropping its guard. On the flip side of the EBAL teams having played DLS, DLS has now played each of the EBAL teams this past year and will have that much more knowledge of what they do as well. If an EBAL team beats DLS, they will have had to earn it. MV & Foothill have Nottingham & Mannion back, 2 of the top QBs in the area. and although Cal and SRV lost their QBs, you can bet both will be retooling with quality QBs for 2009.

Sorry for hijacking the DFAL thread with DLS talk, but at least its football talk.

001......Well...there are two chances of DLS dropping its guard...Slim and none....I thought that both SRV and California had  some possibilities coming up from the JV....The JV QB for Cal led Cal to a route over Las Lomas' JV team last year that i watched...so you are right...retooling is in the making....Just maybe, Livermore and Granada will generate some skills and DLS will have to earn their wins...In any case, DLS is the team to beat....All we can do is hope for the best....

any one who thinks campo has a chance to win the league is serously dumb, they are bringing back only 1 starter and around 4 people who actually saw the feild last year.  they will not be any better then 4th.  the best team athleticly will be alhambra. but the teams with the most returning starters are alhambra and acalanes.  miramonte graduated almost their entire o-line and basically there whole offense will be king.  dv and dublin blow... thats about all u can say.  it will be LL, Alhambra, and possibly acalanes at the top but most likely alhambra will rape.

Ballsacks 1.....Campo has 13 players returning for the 2009 season, plus they will feed off a very good JV team....How good will Campo come together is the question...I think you are underrating the Cougars....as for Acalanes, Alhambra walked all over the Don's in the 2008 season and acalanes didn't do much better with the rest of the teams...Las Lomas has returning QB Lucas Gorton plus 19 returning and a fair JV team  but they won't be the same team as in past years by a long shot.....Alhambra has all sorts of weapons, but if they want to win...They have to change the offense  to make use of a fleet of running backs as it is too predictable and both the OL and DL have to become agressive....And I wouldn't count out Dublin  or Miramonte and as for DV its hard to say...But they learned a serious lesson in their playoff game. Its still early a couple of walk-ons could change every thing or kids not returning...Its May and any thing can happen.

but out of the 13 returning players, there is at most 2 real wepons coming back and the entire o-line and d-line is gone. their d will not be good.   there offense will be based around one player and noone else. acalanes and alhambra were both mostly made of juniors last year and campo and miramonte both had an almost entire senior starting lineup. no matter how good the jv team is, campo will not be able to overcome the other teams that are filled with seniors.

Although Campolindo went undefeated last year, they lose 21 out of 22 startes.  They also lose both kickers. Their only returning player is QB Tommy Stephens. They only have 10 returning senoirs.  The coach has a lot of work to do to make this team descent.  The only player that someone could name after Stephens is Patrick Wirth.

1- Alhambra    Alhambra is returning many key players and their stud running back Dick Calhoun.

2- Las Lomas     The Knights are returning their quarterback, 2 running backs, Delfani, Herring, and a few offensive limeman.  Their offense will be the best in the league.

3- Miramonte    Although Coach Wade resigned, their returning King and 2 good running backs.

4- Acalanes   Acalanes could even up number two by the end of the season.  They are returning their whole backfield with the QB, 2 fullbacks, and Malley.  Bullen will also be one of the biggest players in the league.

5- DV    They are returning their whole team.  No one knows much about them so they are going to surprise some teams.

6- Campolindo   Although they have no one returning, they always have a good team.

7- Dublin   Dublin is never really good, but maybe they'll surprise some teams.

I love the guy talking about Dougherty playing a joke schedule last year.  They were a varsity team with NO SENIORS.  Why would their coaches agree to play a DFAL schedule last year with no seniors?  Having said that Dougherty will compete effectively this year and will surprise some people I don't think they win the league this year, but are closer than you think.

There are a lot of questions to be answered in  the DFAL and Friday night will produce a lot of answers....The  big test will be at Martinez when Alhambra hosts College Park....The Bulldogs have a lot of weapons and we will see if they are used right or wasted....And Dougherty Valley will show every body that they are ready on Friday night...

Acalanes vs. Aptos.....Acalanes 32....Aptos 19....the Don's are a lot stronger this year and their new coach should make things happen...

Miramonte vs. Antioch.....Antioch 33 Miramonte 20....the Panthers have a strong returning squad for the 2009 season but not much help from the JV's...The Mat's have a rebuilding job to do, but have a good JV team to rebuild on, plus the likes of James King...

Campolindo vs. Albany......Campo 41  Albany 12.....albany is no match for Campo  as Stephen's and company get downto business...

Dougherty Valley vs. Willow Glen....DV 37...WG..13.....DV begins the season with  a big win

Dublin vs North Gate.....Dublin 27....NG 14.....The Gaels have a good running game and will use it, but the Bronco's won't quit...

Las Lomas vs. Mitty.....Mitty 26...Las Lomas 19.....the knights don't have the fire power they had in past years...

I agree with all your picks although I think Miramonte playing at home will give Antioch all they can handle. How come you didn't make a prediction on the Alhambra - CP game? The Bulldogs are at home and this is a traditional rivalry game, so anything could happen.  I've got CP by a score.

001.....Woops.......alhambra 26....college Park 20.....the Bulldog offensive line will have to be tough to handle the falcon defense...in the scrimmage last Sat.,there were a number of times that Encinal line men broke though and put the heat to the Alhambra QB....The Bulldogs have the speed and people that can catch the ball...so its up the the line to do their job...both teams have a big line, so the game will be decided up front....

Well.....The College Park line pushed the Bulldog line around all night and the falcon running backs took advantage of the holes and ran wild...In the mean time Alhambra commited  three fumbles and all three led to scores....College Park punted only two times and marched down the field every time they got the ball...It was a complete College Park route of Alhambra at 37-14.....Alhambra moved the ball numerous times but were sucessful only twice...It was 2008 all over again..self destruction.....

Dublin get out to 28-7 lead in the 1st half. Northgate closes 28-14 at half.  All Northgate in 2nd half.

Too many standouts for northgate. Barney, Butler, Stover, led the way but got help all over. Northgate has some players!

The panthers loosing to miramonte is a big surprise considering what Antioch came into the game with....Miramonte cashed in on Antioch's decisions and it paid off...Antioch should have won going away...the price you pay.....

Antioch lost because the head coach is completely inept!  He should have stepped down after last year's dismal performance.  The poor players are out there working hard and trying to play football while he's trying to figure out if he should change his Depends.   It's going to be another long season for the Panther fans.

Don't take it personally. Las is actually the feminine plural article in Spanish. If the school was named Los Lobos, then I'm sure Bluedog would have typed find "himself" instead.

"The equivalent of English the is as follows: masculine singular, el; feminine singular, la; masculine plural, los; feminine plural, las."

Go ahead and call em a sham if you want. Tonights 21-20 win shoulda easily been 21-14. The Wildcats sat on that lead for the final 5 minutes when they shoulda poured it on. Considering they even held starters out and went pass heavy it looked as if they were in pre-season mode practicing plays.

Don't sleep on Dougherty Valley.

Nobody cares...

2 - 0 can easily be 2 - 8. When Dougherty plays the DFAL they'll be 0 - 6. What did their win over JFK prove?... That they would come in 3rd place in the MVAL. Shut your pie hole until you can beat a DFAL team... which MIGHT happen in 2010.

Interesting coaching move by Kennedy by going for 2 at the end. They were lined up to kick the extra point that would make it a tie, and a penalty pushed them back 5 yards to the 8, at which time they then decided to go for 2? Usually a penalty on an extra point will make a team switch from going for 2 to just going with the kick. They must not have much of a kicker if they suddenly felt their odds were better gong for 2 from the 8 than taking the tie. Well, it worked out well for Dougherty.

DV should be at least competitive this year with the bottom 3 teams in the DFAL - Alhambra, Dublin and Acalanes, but will face some serious hurdles going up against Campo, Miramonte and LL.

I went to the Acalanes vs JS game last night and Acalanes looked very good. Justin Siena played very well and their QB is a stud. Acalanes just ran the ball very well and their defense made plays to seal the win 35-20. Good play calling only passing the ball, roughly, about 8 times.

I'll tell you this.  First, I was wrong.

Beating JFK doesn't mean they'd finish in 3rd place in the MVAL it means they'd finish in 4th place.

Second, IF they can win their other 2 non-league games (Piedmont and Livermore), I will consider that they MIGHT win a DFAL game this year.  AND in doing so, I will become a believer...  I might even go see them live, heck, I might offer my apology and jump on the bandwagon.  Until that happens though, they should remain invisible.

and talkin about shutting of piehole's and all I just wanted to keep the topic straight. Since you're so confident in DV going 0-6 in league this year, anytime you wanna put your money where your mouth is, I'm ready to make that wager.

Excuses please.

Confident? Dougherty has beaten 2 teams that everyone else in the DFAL would beat. They've done nothing. Dublin plays Livermore this week. Dougherty plays Livermore the following week. I'm interested in what you perceive will happen...

Livermore has a pretty bad team this year. It could very well spell two additional losses for the Cowboys. They won't win any EBAL games, so one of these games would be their best chance.

This coming Friday night, we will see what Miramonte is made of as they face Foothill...It seems that Foothill has served notice that they are ready for league play...

Campolindo Vs. Oakland.....  Campo 28..Oakland 19...After last weeks loss to El Cerrito the Cougars face another test and this one could blow up in Campo's face if they are not careful.

Alhambra Vs. so. San Francisco......Alhambra 32  So. San Francisco 20.....Last year, the Bulldogs did everything possible to loose, but they face a So city team with almost the same team as last year, but the Dogs got a serious wake up call at the hands of College Park this year and are in high gear..

Las Lomas Vs. Rocklin.....Rocklin 31...Las Lomas 21.....the knights have had a tough preseason schedule and will go downfighting at the hands of Rocklin....

Miramonte Vs. foothill...Foothill 34...Miramonte 14.....Foothill marchs on

Dublin Vs. Sonoma Valley.....Sonoma Valley 39...dublin 13.....the dragons have too many guns for the Gaels.

Acalanes Vs. Healdsburg.....Healdsburg 28...Acalanes 21...the greyhounds are coming off a 32-0 win over Piner of Santa Rosa and should be ready for the Don's...

While the Bulldogs will sorely miss Eron Christmas due to a  serious angle injury that will require surgery......Richard Calhoun spear headed the bull dog attack carrying around 20 times for almost 200 yards in the win over south San Francisco....But the score of 19-6 could very well have been a lot more except the Alhambra offense sputtered three times when it got down to the 20 due to poor play calling...Next is Dublin.......

9-30-09 Campolindo ran into a tough game last week and fell 32-21....the Cougars although not nearly as strong as last year have scheduled a weaker preason schedule to clean up the rough spots...How they do in league play starts Friday night...Las Lomas, no doubt scheduled a solid series of preason games and although they lost three....there was a lot to be learned.. Las Lomas Vs. acalanes...LL 28...Acalanes 19....the Knights preseason scheduling pays off... Alhambra Vs. Dublin.....alhambra 44...dublin 20...The Bulldog passing attack fell on its face last week as Cellini was busy dodging So city linemen, this week, things will be different. DV Vs. Campolindo.....Campolindo 27 DV 13 The cougars shake off last weeks loss and Stephen's leads Campo to a win over stuborn DV...

EBAL Predictions San Ramon Vs. calif....calif. 26...San Ramon 20 In this league, every team is very good and you would wish that they all could win....But the calif. defense makes the difference. Its round two in the DFAL and a league leader may show his face this week while Las Lomas has the night off.....Dublin although having a rough year so far is still a dangerous team...there offense puts together some surprising moves and their defense is anchored in the middle by two big fellows and the Gaels have the speed also....They just can't quite hit high gear....

Campolindo Vs. Alhambra.....Alhambra 26...Campo 13.......The Bulldogs are in for a fight, but are relenlless and top the cougars.

Dublin Vs. Miramonte.....Miramonte 28...Dublin 20.....Don't let anybody fool you, Dublin give the Mats all they can handle...

Acalanes...Vs. Dougherty Valley....Acalanes 20...DV 12....After last weeks victory over Las Lomas...The Don's will have to settle down and take care of DV next...

10-08-09 Richard Calhoun ran for 239 yards for the Bulldogs, but it was Stephen's passing that kep the bulldogs on the ropes all night.......The Cougars drove right down with Stephen's pinpoint passing following the opening kickoff and Alhambra had to fight back and come from behind to to take the lead, but still had their backs to the wall in the final seconds.....Alhambra at one point was leading 27-17, but Stephen's went to work with a combination of passing and handing off to score again, but time ran out and the Bulldogs won 27-24.....

Seems like the last post before this one is by a frustrated fan for Campolindo. Camopolindo's quarterback was running for his life against Alhambra. The alhambra defensive line had 4 sacks, 15 hurry-ups on the quarterback, 8 tackles for a loss, 4 blocked passes and 1 fumble recovery.

The running game for Campo could only muster 89 yards on 28 attemps. Stephens did a great job...all things considered. Alhambra is improving every week and can be in the playoffs if things keep on improving.

RIS1906.....How many two step  passes did Stephens throw and complete and pick apart the Bulldog defense...The score was 27-24 and the Cougars could have very well turned the game around if they could have got the ball back....alhambra has to work on their pass defense as receivers were getting open and no body was covering them...With better pass defense, the Bulldogs could have held the Cougars to 13 points instead of 24...And there were a number of times that Stephen's was running for his life, getting sacked  and  twice he got nailed very hard, but at the same time his passing kept Campolindo in the game.....The score indicates just how close the game really was....Campolindo should take care of Miramonte this coming Friday and Alhambra will stop Acalanes.

If you want to get technical, Campolindo did get the ball back and Stephens was under a lot of pressure to where he threw the ball away to keep from getting nailed for a big loss at the end of the game. Followed by a desperation flea-flicker for the last play of the game. That play wouldn't have occured if the refs had fairly called the out of bounds pass by Steohens, while running from Alhambra's linemen, as Intentional GROUNDING. (Loss of Down-Game Over)

RIS1906......You are right....The Bulldog line was out to nail Stephen's and the call should have been Intentional  Grounding instead of a desperate try for a act of god.  One of the Bulldog's could have grabbed the ball and took off with it, but that didn't happen...In any case....Alhambra won....a crazy ending.....

Alhambra was way to much for campolindo. The DE's for Alhambra were able to wreak havoc on the campolindo offense.  No other team in the DFAL has DEs like Alhambra, but could this spell trouble for campolindo throughout the rest of the season.

Also, how has no one commented on the huge Dublin upset of Miramonte.  The traditional 3 dominant teams of the DFAL, Campolindo Miramonte and Las Lomas, all now have a league loss.  I think it is definetly possible for Alhambra to get through the rest of the league without a loss.

And DV put a big scare into the Dons as well. This league is as balanced as it has ever been. It is anybody's title for the taking, and why not the Bulldogs? They'll have their shot at it. We'll see who wants it the most.

Dublin winning should not surprise people. In the comment section on MaxPrep, the Alhambra coaching staff entered that Dublin is a much betterf team then their record shows. Maybe Dublin will will a few more league games.

Who has played the toughest schedule? (Stats from Cal-Peps)

Acalanes Opponents: 18 wins, 16 losses

Alhambra Opponents: 20 wins, 13 losses

Campolindo Opponents: 13 wins, 17 losses

Dougherty Valley Opponents: 16 wins, 16 losses

Dublin Opponents: 20 wins, 12 losses

Los Lomas Opponents: 21 wins, 5 losses

Miramonta Opponents: 12 wins, 16 losses

Of course this isn't an all-knowing statistic because the quality of the competition for your opponents and who they face enters into this also. But is is surprising that half of the teams in the DFAL faced a schedule of losing teams. A lot can happen in a year in high school. JV records are useless when talking about Varsity. Which kids stick around and develop is the misising equation to success.

One last comment for this one. Encinal got handled and demolished in a scrimmage against Alhambra and they are currently ranked in the top ten for the EastBay. Makes you wonder about the sports writers and their predictions.

All though Dublin gets the week off, as RIS1906 pointed out that the Gaels are a much better team then previous scores indicate....The remainder of the Gael schedule will be in for some big surprises....At the Alhambra/dublin game...The Gaels were coming into their own and ran the ball as well as passed and made the Bulldog defense work...

Miramonte Vs. Campolindo.....Campo 28...Miramonte 20....If Stephen's gets the protections he needs..his pin point passing will raise havoc with the Mat defense....

Alhambra Vs. Acalanes......Alhambra 33..Acalanes 19 ......With the passing and running of the Bulldogs and a tough defense...Acalanes will be hard pressed all night...

DV Vs..Las Lomas.....Las Lomas 28...DV 13....The Knights shake off the  surprise loss to Acalanes and prepare for next week's game...

One of those monsters on Alhambra's D-line is Omar Omilabu. He has a highlight video on youtube wrecking havoc on the offenses played against this year. From college park to campolindo. its really worth watching. he is the one that caused that intentional grounding by the campolindo QB last week and its on there too.

How lucky can you get......Acalanes pass receivers were dropping passes that could have helped knocking of the Bulldogs and the Alhambra team was commenting penalities like there were determined to loose....But Richard Calhoun again ran up over 200 yards and over came all the nonsense......again...The Bulldog pass defense is subspect and so was some of the play calling... the Don's O line did a good job of protecting their QB who only was sacked one time....The Bulldog offense looked at times like they couldn't be stopped, but the Acalanes running game was running all over Alhambra.....

Many of those penalties called (mainly the pass interference ones) were very questionable.  Those referees seemed determined to let Acalanes upset the Dogs.  For example, the Don's onside quick recovery, the ball was clearly touched before it traveled 10 yards but they still gave them the recovery.  And look at Alhambra's fumble early in the game, the reciever did not even come close to having possession of the ball when he was hit, but the trusty zebras still ruled in favor of the Don's and gave them the fumble.  Alhambra was obviously not in top form, but its hard for any team to beat both their opponent and the officials.

Amazing how one blogger on here trys to bad-mouth Alhambra every chance he gets and he always gets it wrong.

The ground game for the Don's rushed for a total of 146 yards on 39 trys. Once they couldn't run, the Dons tried to pass. Teams that scout the Don's know that if they pass, they lose. And that is even when the refs try to take over the game and pull it out for the Dons. The Don's could not run very well against Alhambra...period. Here is the box score:

Alhambra 28, Acalanes 25
Alhambra 7 7 0 14— 28
Acalanes 7 6 0 12— 25

ALH — Davis 52 from Cellini (Baer kick)
ACA — McSwine 3 run (Pereira kick)
ALH — Madrid 11 run (Baer kick)
ACA — McSwine 1 run (kick fail)
ALH — Calhoun 2 run (Baer kick)
ALH — Calhoun 55 run (Baer kick)
ACA — Baker 42 from Caldwell (pass fail)
ACA — Lewis 17 pass from Caldwell (kick fail)
Statistics
Rushing: ALH — Calhoun 26-267, Leaf 3-20, Madrid 1-11, Bullis 2-9, Celllini 1-0, Baer 1-(-12). Totals: 39-295. ACA — Malley 18-83, McSwine 12-33, Boone 6-26, Dougherty 1-3, Leamy 2-1. Totals: 39-146.
Passing: ALH — Cellini 9-15-0 174. ACA — Boone 0-1-0 0, Leamy 0-3-0 0, Caldwell 4-15-0 95. Totals: 4-19-0 95.
Receiving: ALH — Davis 3-75, Manuli 3-37, Baer 1-30, Braz 1-17, Bullis 1-16. Baker 2-62, Lewis 1-17, Levine 1-16.
Fumbles/lost: ALH — 1/1. ACA — 1/1.
Records: Alhambra 6-1, 3-0 DFAL; Acalanes 5-2, 2-1.

Some one needs to find anouther team to bad-mouth and leave Alhambra alone. Even when they don't play their best game, Alhambra finds a way to legitimately win without the advantage of the refs giving them any breaks.

RIS1906.....Acalanes was hitting the right side of the bulldog line and get 3,5 and 9 yards at a try and once in a while there would be no gain...In between, Caldwell's passes were right in the hands of recievers and they managed to drop them....there were several passes to Krummen's zone and he managed to let the receiver get past him for two TD's in the fourth Quarter.   Alhambra should have scored two more times, as they were down past the 10 yard line twice where they should have stayed on the ground but elected to pass which was a big mistake and one got picked off as there is no room left for passing...Alhambra has to clean up its penalties as so far thru this season they have killed numerous drives for scores...And this is not bad mouthing the Bulldogs as they continue to make the same mistakes over and over again and have to over come them......the Bulldogs were lucky last night..they should have beat Acalanes 40-19 but they got out by the skin of their teeth.  If you take Calhoun out of the picture Alhambra could very well be 1-6....next week the Bulldogs face Las Lomas and they can't afford to play the type of game they did against Acalanes....

Bluedog. You have to realize how negative you are. For one, there weren't any interceptions by either team last night! Alhambra almost had one that would have been a sure touchdown if it hadn't been dropped.

The game I saw in person showed Acalanes getting just 3.74 yards per running play. And 5 yards per pass average. (4.16 yards per play total offense) Alhambra had 8.69 yards per play. Whose lucky?  Acalanes was lucky to be in the game. The only gains on the ground occured when Alhambra went to a four man line to get a pass defense in at the end of the game. Acalanes scores came from having what is called a "short field" most of the game.

Acalanes did drop passes. That is why the Dogs stopped the run. Alhambra wanted Acalanes to pass. The receivers for the Dons are not very good. You want a team to do things that they are not good at when you play football.

Great running backs are part of the Dogs past. How good a team is, depends on everyone though. Without good blockers, Richard Calhoun does not have the stats he has to date. The Dogs lost a great back in Erron Christmas. Fortunately Richard has been able to carry the running load on Offense. But without a passing game. The other teams would put 9 or 10 players on the line of scrimmage and the running game would dissappear.

You bad mouthed the play calling. Sounds like you have a grudge against Coach Silvera. This is not the first time you have taken shots at the coach. He has coach numerous championship teams. Have you? You have opionions for every league, but you always take your shots at the Dogs. If you are in the stands, please sit on the other teams side! You are not a Bulldog fan.

Next up is Las Lomas. They are still capable of winning the leauge. It will be another tough game for the Dogs.

I don't think Bluedog is all that negative on the Bulldogs. He pretty much calls them as he sees them. Alhambra has a good team this season, but even good teams and coaches do make mistakes.

RIS 1906.......All the stats you mention sound good, but how come the score was 28-25...Its because the Bulldogs couldn't stop Acalanes...The Don's were pounding the right side of the Bulldog line and making progress....They thru passes that a receiver with fair hands could have caught and made big gains, but the Don's dropped key passes like the ball was red hot. The last two drives that Acalanes scored on was a case of the Bulldog's being unable to stop them....And if they had made the extra points...We would have had a tie game and go into overtime....As for Silveria...he is a passing coach and like's to throw...But you don't pass in super tight situations, unless a receiver can get free and there is little space on that field for passing when you are inside the 10....And here is where the Bulldogs should have scored two more TD's and had one pass picked off and another batted down.....The Bulldog running game could have scored....And Calhoun is the league leader in rushing and he get holes from the line but this guy breaks tackles, slips by would be tacklers and has that certain Explosive running ablilty to break out and he is gone..  But I'll tell you what...If Alhambra can hold las Lomas  to two or three TD's and not get into a shootout, then I will water my comments way down...But this game with Las Lomas will be a case of stopping the run...And Waters ran wild over DV last week and he is a hard runner, plus the LL QB can throw so Alhambra has their work cut out for them....

Bluedog2...I'll stop going after you if you start to get your stats right. How come nobody saw the interception that you keep insisting happened? Was it caught by the 12th Man? Who caught it? Nobody got credit  for it.

All your other comments are part of being a Monday morning quarterback. You ARE entitled to them, even if the stats don't bare you out. The one fact that is showing itself is that you must be a follower of the Dogs. They seem to have your interest. I don't see you responding like this towards other teasms/leagues. So go and enjoy this Friday and hopefully the Dogs will put the doubt in them...behind for you.

Here is a question about caoching. Why did the Acalanes head coach give-up and not use up his time-outs at the end of the game? The Alhambra coaches thought for sure he would at least try.

The score was 28-13 in the 4th quarter, for the fans that don't know. Acalanes was playing catch-up due to 2 touchdowns by the Dogs in the 4th quarter, before Acalanes could generate any more offense/points. Take away a very questionable on-side kick and Acalanes is not in the game at all!

I just want to say the officials were HORRIBLE Friday night!! They practically GAVE Acalanes 2TD! The Acalanes line should have had atleast 6 holding penalties but never even had 1?? Richard Calhoun is a great player and would be the first to tell you he has a great line leading the way for him. "Individual Commitment to a GROUP effort, that is what makes a TEAM work!"

Alhambra has LL, Dougherty Valley & Miramonte left. They should all be good games, but Alhambra SHOULD still win them...!!?

10-19-09 Dogs Mom......Richard Calhoun is a one of a kind, every few years each high school is blessed with a runner with his ability, but Richard is special....when he gets past the line it all Richard doing what he does best and that is running wild thru opposing defense....Its possible that he will break 2,000 yards this season and i hope he does it....

I agree that the game had horrible officials.

I would also like to say that the Acalanes Offensive Line protected the quarterback by chop blocking and then holding the ankles of the defensive linemen, two of who broke loose. The same two players who block the left side. The side Acalanes did not want to run to. If Acalanes played a fair game (no holding) they would not stand a chance against Alhambra's defensive line.

I also notice that one defensive player (#67) tackled the running back one armed and flung him around like a rag doll

If the refs called a fair game Acalanes probably would have only had 1 -2 touchdowns and not much else

This Friday night, Alhambra hosts Los Lomas in what could be another high scoring game...Alhambra has scored 55 points in two games but has given up 49....Los Lomas scored 49 agained DV and gave up 14....Miramonte ran over Campolindo last Friday 30-7 in which the Cougars could not stop the run...I thought sure that Tommy Stephen'scould get the Cougars thru the Mat's, but it wasn't to be...And now Campolindo faces a determined Dublin team which is way underrated..

Alhambra Vs. Los Lomas.......Alhambra 26  Los Lomas 19     This is a game that the Bulldogs must win for a lot of reason's..But first they must stop Waters and his running attack.

Acalanes Vs. Miramonte.....Miramonte 30....Acalanes 20   The Mat's have made some changes to their running game and took it out on Campolindo....Their new look Veer is hard to stop...

Dublin Vs. Campolindo....Dublin 27..Campolindo 20....Dublin is coming into its own as they go after win number two in league play....The Cougars could be in for another long night, Stephen's will have his hands full getting Campolind on the winning track.....

So Alhambra hung in there and won a hard fought game. The defense had their worst game of the season, but LL was much worst. LL had 382 yards of offense. (198 rushing and *184 passing) But Alhambra had 493 of offense. (++222 rushing and *274 passing)

So from one point of view, Gorton passed to Herring pretty good, but the stats show that Cellini passed to Davis, Krumman and crew for more *yardage. Gorton: 16-27-1 Cellini: 15-24-0 Waters had 1 TD while Calhoun had 3 TDs. Alhambra needs to put the fork in the teams that they are beating quicker though. And stop the comebacks!

Last night was a night for last minuter heroics by many teams throughtout the Bay Area. Look through the scores and you will see that a lot of teams won their games during the last minute of play. Guess that every one is scouting the games to the point where they are going to be close games. No one is going down without a fight, especially in the DFAL. Makes for great games to watch.

++Celilini had 16 yards rushing, not 4. Anyone at the game saw the 12 yard winning run by RJ at the end of the game. The box score in the paper made a small error on this stat.

Not sure what game you saw but while Alhambra won, they just barely got by. The defense on both sides could not stop the offense. It came down to who had the ball last. Thats it.

Quit whining about refs calls or 12 yards of rushing stats and just appreciate good kids playing football.

You'll get plenty to cry about in the first round of the playoffs if you make it.

Cal-High Sports came out with it's rankings of the East Bay on 10/25/09:

1.De La Salle

2.Berkeley

3.Mitty

4.Deer Valley

5.Amador Valley

6.Bellarmine

7.St. Francis

8.Alhambra

9.Pioneer

10.Los Gatos

I wonder what happened to Concord, but for the DFAL, it shows some respect to the parity of the league: Everyone is capable of beating the other teams in this league. I personally think that Las Lomas is a very good team and their record doesn't show it yet. They played the toughest pre-league schedule. Encinal was stiffed in this poll.

Question: Was Mitty a lousy team because they beat Bellarmine by 1 point? Then maybe Alhambra shouldn't get knocked for winning it's games against their opponents.

This can't be just the East Bay, as half these teams are from th South Bay. It must be their Bay Area Top 10.

Mitty officially tied Bellarmine. They played an overtime period solely for purposes of determnig a league champion should they end up tied, but the tie is the official record.

I like Alhambra, but I have a hard time seeing them ahead of 6 teams in the EBAL. I don't think they would finish in the top 5 of the EBAL. After all, they did lose to College Park. Would the Bulldogs be able to beat Monte Vista, Cal, SRV, Granada and Foothill? I'm at least glad they have a local team in that spot rather than another WCAL or South Bay team. But, yeah, Concord and Encinal are notably absent from this list.

Yea...The EBAL is way too strong, even when they have 5 loses. All the polls kinda have to be looked at with a grain of salt. I am looking forward to the playoffs when you win by 1 point or 50 points, you have the better teams just playing for a WIN!!

(The poll above was from the TV show on Sunday)

Seems that in order to do these polls right, they should do East Bay or Bay polls by Division. Top 20 for Division 1, Top for Division 2, and so on. That is more in line with the playoff system anyway.

According to ESPN/Calhi Sports.....Alhambra is not in the top 20 but on the bubble along with 15 other teams......According to several sports editors....The Bulldogs have yet to make a statement as they have struggled and won seven ball games instead of winning decisively in league play...There is very little doubt that Alhambra may go undefeated if they can get by Miramonte and if they do, then they will make the top 20 and the playoff's....

The game of the week for the DFAL will be Las Lomas vs. Miramonte this coming friday night, both teams lost close games last friday, so this ball game just may be a wild shootout..

Las Lomas Vs. Miramonte.....LL  31...Miramonte 24.....Although the Mat's scored only seven points last Friday night, they have the ability to score...always a good ball game between these two teams....

Alhambra Vs. DV.....Alhambra...37  DV 14......The Bulldogs are two games away from a undeated league season....

Acalanes Vs. Dublin.....Acalanes 32   Dublin 19.....The Don's stop a stubborn Gael team that can cause real problems

Alhambra rolled over Dougherty Valley last Friday, pulling starters in the 3rd quarter and playing all backups with a 49-3 lead. The next week off comes in handy. Time to heal some minor injuries on the team. The following teams are the division that the 16 team NCS playoffs will be picked from:

DIVISION III (701 – 1,400) (16-team bracket)
ACALANES HIGH SCHOOL #6
ALBANY HIGH SCHOOL #25
ALHAMBRA HIGH SCHOOL #4
ANALY HIGH SCHOOL #7
ARCATA HIGH SCHOOL #29
BISHOP O'DOWD HIGH SCHOOL #15
CAMPOLINDO HIGH SCHOOL #13
DE ANZA HIGH SCHOOL #27
DEL NORTE HIGH SCHOOL #16
DOUGHERTY VALLEY HS #14
EL CERRITO HIGH SCHOOL #10
EL MOLINO HIGH SCHOOL #23
ELSIE ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL #30
ENCINAL HIGH SCHOOL #1
FORTUNA HIGH SCHOOL #8
HEALDSBURG HIGH SCHOOL #5
HERCULES HIGH SCHOOL #26
JOHN F. KENNEDY - FREMONT #18
JOHN F. KENNEDY H.S.- RICHMOND #31
LOWER LAKE HIGH SCHOOL #28
MARIN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL #2
MIRAMONTE HIGH SCHOOL #9
MOREAU CATHOLIC HS #21
NOVATO HIGH SCHOOL #3
PIEDMONT HIGH SCHOOL #11
SAN MARIN HIGH SCHOOL #20
SAN RAFAEL HIGH SCHOOL #24
SIR FRANCIS DRAKE HS #22
SONOMA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL #17
TAMALPAIS HIGH SCHOOL #12
TERRA LINDA HIGH SCHOOL #19

Teams in Red are currently in the top 16. Blue is the bottom half and not in, yet. Numbers are from Cal-Preps. There is a strong likelihood that there won't be 16 teams in this division for the NCS Playoffs. After Number 13, the teams are fighting to make .500 in wins overall and in league.

RIS1906.....The Bulldogs couldn't be stopped last Friday night...The defense grabbed five interceptions with Zach Coniglio's one handed grab being the high light...And the hands of Trevor Davis pass receptions were outstanding....and R.J. Cellini was red hot...And the week off will be useful as some of the guys were banged up and will get plenty of time to prepare for the Miramonte game.   It  looks like only 13 or 14 will make the NCS...some teams will finish with a 4-6 record and may still enter the playoff....

I pretty sure you are right about the possible records. I am told that if you don't finish at .500 overall, you have to be at least at .500 in league. This week will help answer who has a shot at getting in or not.

It will probably take to the end of the regular season for some of the Division 3 Teams.

To qualify for NCS playoffs, a team must meet at least one of these 3 requirements:

  • Finish with an overall record of at least .500
  • Finish with a league record of at least .500, or
  • Finish with a .500 record against teams in your classification (D1, D2, D3 etc.).

The easiest way to get there is to just finish at or over .500 overall. But if a team has played some D1 schools in preseason, such as Miramonte losing to Foothill, they may still be able to obtain a .500 record against teams in their own classification. To be able to determine that last qualification, you need to be able to know every team's classification.

I was looking at calpreps and so far there are 12 teams that have qualified for the DIII playoffs with about 7 more on the bubble. I know there is some talk about the DIII not fielding a full 16 but I think it can happen. Miramonte only needs to win one more game and theyre in.

Miramonte should beat DV this coming Friday night and that will give them a 4-5 record, but I doubt they will get by Alhambra and they will have a 4-6 record after next Friday night...It also means they won't have a 500 in league standings, but maybe the coach will present a case that the NCS will buy.

While Alhambra has the night off, Campolindo has its work cut out for them against Acalanes...The Don's ground game led by Tyler Mally will be hard to stop and it will be up  to Tommy Stephens passing attack to get a must win victory for the Cougars.

Miramonte  Vs. Dougherty Valley....Miramonte 35....DV  14....The Wildcats had a rough time with Alhambra last Friday and its not going to get any better this Friday...

Campolindo Vs. Acalanes.....Acalanes  35...Campolindo 20....The Don runing game is hard to stop  and gets better each week

Dublin Vs. Las Lomas.....LL 41...dublin 14.....If the Gaels can stop or slow down Waters and contain Gortman, they could turn this game around....

I would have thought your predictions were money-in-the-bank. With Acalanes losing, Alhambra is now the DFAL Champion. It will be interesting to see who ends up in the NCS playoffs, anything looks possible.

RIS1906....I thought that if Tommy Stephens could get his passing attack going they might win and they sure did...Acalanes ground game has been tough to stop, but it wasn't enough....So what a surprise...My crystal ball is getting foggy..But next Friday night we should see Alhambra take apart Miramonte.....

*Teams that are in the playoffs
**One more loss and are they are not in the playoffs with a winning record
-- Should stay home even if they qualify in the playoffs

13 teams have qualified for the playoffs. There are 5 teams that might qualify if they win their last game. There are 4 open spots.

1. Miramonte plays Alhambra

2. Bishop O'Dowd plays Arroyo

3. Terra Linda plays Justin-Siena

4. Moreau Catholic plays Encinal

5. John F. Kennedy-Fremont plays Logan

Bishop O'Dowd may qualify, but I think the rest will loose. Which would only leave 13 teams for the NCS Playoffs.

Alhambra can go undefeated with a win over Miramonte in league play, they have had a week off and should be fired up.....Cellini has been hot with his passing game and backed up  with the running of Calhoun and Leaf and a receiving corp that has really developed...the Bulldogs should be ready.   Another game that has serious implications is the Las Lomas/Campolindo game.....Stephens directed the cougars to a 38-27 victory over Acalanes and he faces Las Lomas' Gorton/Waters combination....This game should be a shootout.

Miramonte Vs. Alhambra......Alhambra 41  Miramonte 20.....The Bulldogs come ut shooting and don't quite.

Campolindo Vs. Las Lomas.....Las Lomas 34...Campolindo 20......The Cougars are scary in a way, you never know which team comes to play....If Stephen's can be hot again, and every body does his job...Las Lomas could be in for a long night...

DV Vs.Dublin.....Dublin 27...DV 14.....If Spevey does not play DV will go winless in league play...This guy is all over the field in both defense and offense...But the Gaels are the stronger of the two teams despite spevey......

We'll like em or not, the picks are in for the NCS Playoffs. (Great job by bluedog2. He went 3 for 3 last week in the DVAL)

DVAL has 5 out of 7 teams playing this week in the playoffs. Nobody seems to have an easy route to the NCS Finals though. Wishful thinking, but I won't be shocked to see more then one DVAL Team in the Semi-Final games. Have a good week of practice everyone.

Anyone figure out why DV went with w/o a QB?.  I thought Spivey was the QB as well as a bench of back up QB's.  Don't get me wrong, Sites played out of his mind Friday night in a valiant effort to keep the team competitive throughout the game.  However without a passing game DV was strictly reduced to whether or not Sites had the ball.

Anyone know what happened last Friday night?

Last night the coaches got together to pick the All-League Team for the DFAL. I believe you get to nominate the amount of players based on how you did in league. (Win-Loss record)

Anyone heard yet what any of the results are?

Today: Found out that the results were turned over to the League Commissoner. I also was told that you get to nominate 7 players plus an additonal player for every league win.

Hey Mr. Commissioner, how about the results?
