We've said NO, twice now. WHAT THE HELL DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND ABOUT NO. Some things will come to sanity only through hellish violence. It's just a matter of when.
I dont have a problem with the gays, but I really do not understand why they would WANT to marry under a religion that states being gay is wrong! A Catholic would never marry in a morman church.
I dont know about you, but I try to stay far away from any group of people that dont support, respect, and want my lifestyle.
And BTW who are these pastors that are marrying these gays?? do they never pick up the bible? I just dont understand
You would support an amendment to the state constitution that would specify that only non divorced people can marry? I might not be a bible expert as you but I would venture that the bible doesn't support divorce either? And of course you don't need a pastor to get married any justice of the peace will do.
To the previous posters you might want to read up a little bit on civics. Our country is not based on a majority rule but is a constitutional republic. That's how the founders framed it and it was not by accident. While the majority can pass laws it is up to the courts to ensure that they do not violate the constitution. In the case of Prop 8 it will be up the courts to decide whether the amendment to the California State Constitution is not in violation with the United States Constitution.
I do agree with the first part about non-divorced people. The Bible says ''The Lord Hates Divorce" and says basically that once you marry that's it. That the only reason you can ever marry again is if your spouse dies. That is truely "from now till death do us part". NOT from now till I find someone better. Or, till I get tired of listening to you. It would be a far better world if we were to follow the word of God rather than making constant excues. Read Matthew 19:2-9. Once again I ask those pastors of churches who think that it is OK to continually divorce and re-marry. Tell me. WHERE IS YOUR EXCEPTION TO THE WORD OF GOD?
I totally agree. All through the Bible is says homosexuality is wrong. Look at Romans 1:18-32. It says that those who do such things and those that support them deserve death (you ever think that AIDS might be God's way of sayiing "knock it off".) And many other parts of the Bible say the same thing. So how do they justfy themselves as Christians. Can any of these pastors that support gay marriage tell me where exactly the Bible states the exception. SHOW ME DAMN IT. SHOW ME. WHERE IS YOUR EXCEPTION?

But now there is a question regarding the United State Constitution and this needs to be resolved by the Federal Courts. And the question might ultimately end up at the United States Supreme Court. But it will be up the US Supremes to take the case or not.
It just seems scary how little you guys know about our country and its constitution.

Common sense back at you. 95+% of all AIDS cases fall into three catagories.
1. China. Where thet are only allowed to have one child. So to avoid getting pregnant they practice [bleep] SEX.
2. Africa, where they have many children starving to death. So to avoid having more children that they can't feed they avoid pregnancy by having, [bleep] SEX.
3. Homosexuals. Who practice? you guessed it. [bleep] SEX.
Fertilizer and fertilizer don't mix. Your ANUS is an exit NOT an entrance. If God had intended you to have [bleep] sex he would have made it self lubricating. LIKE A [bleep]. You should try it sometime. It's great. The [BLEEP] = AINAL.

I never once said I ok'd divorce. Any one who divorces is going against the christian bible as well, for their own selfish ridiculous reasons.
