Someone was dead around the block this morning so it may connected? Shootings and stabbings have been increasing in the past few weeks. I think the Walmart stabbing was linked to the next one so it looks as if it could be more retaliation.
what time was this? any crime in our town we as citizens should be concerned and i normally am but when i hear about violence and crime in that neighborhood i dont pay alot of attention to it especially when i open the paper and see lemonwood,spanos sycamore drives,i wont even finish reading the story and could care less. right now on scanner one gun tossed one detained two outstanding and you guessed it an older buick as a get away car in the area of auto center and sycamore.
So let me get this straight, just because I live in the Sycamore area you couldn't care less about what might be happening to me? Not all of the people living in this area are drug dealers, gang members, or murderers. I have lived here for many years and it used to be nice in the part where I am. It has just been the last year or so that I have been afraid to go outside my door. As you said as citizens we should be concerned about ALL crime, not just the ones in the "good" parts of town.
sure i would be concerned about you as a nice law abiding citizen.iam just so desensitized to what happens in that area because of the rate of crime there,sorry didnt try to offend you personaly. you shouldnt have to be afraid to go out ur front door that area needs to be plowed and well the rest of my ideas have to do with the federal welfare system but i will spare you the rant.
Sunday morning on my way to the store I noticed a memorial on the Peppertree sidwalk that included a bike. I slowed to take a look but I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't tell who it was for. I have been looking for some news in the Times but have yet to see anything. Since then I have noticed people gathering around it. Does anyone know what happened?
I'm not talking about the shooting on Spanos a few days ago. This is an entirely different shooting.

The memorial is for the guy killed on Spanos. I think he lived on or around Peppertree Way.
