Is anybody else planning on going to the House of Floyd concert next Saturday the 18th at The El Campanil? These guys are supposed to be a pretty decent cover band for Pink Floyd and have a laser light show to go along with the music. I'm looking forward to burning my retinas for a few hours. BazookaJoe always gives me a bad time about having a low tolerance for loud music but he knows that it only applies to the constant THUMP THUMP of the hip hop/rap "music" that so many of the local jerks like to share with us on their car sound systems. Good old fashioned rock and prog-rock is meant for high volume and I'll take that any day having been weaned on the stuff in the 60's & 70's.
If he's not too depressed after doing his taxes, Bazooka's planning on being there. Our wives have declined so we'll have to be on our best behavior if we meet any attractive female rockers with blue hair and wavy eyes.

At the QOL forum they said the Campanil heater was going to be fixed soon, but I'm not sure if it will in time for this show. We better leave early to allow for the extra time it will take for security to search all the snow jackets and blankets people will be bringing in with them. Smokey said it was chilly when she went recently. I'm wearing my (Dark Side of the) moon boots and my thin-insulate ski parka.

Maybe a younger crowd will be able to stand the cold. Or at least sneak in a "flask" to keep you warm.

You mean a younger crowd of 50 and 60 somethings? We're not bringing our wives, or our kids!
