He would make all medical related lawsuits illegal,   this in turn would save doctors billions in unnecessary medical malpractice insurance the cost of which is passed on to you and me..

He would allow HMOs to compete across state lines.  Competition is good, it weeds out incompetant and lazy workers.  It would force large healthcare comglomerates to streamline and reduce the cost of healthcare.

He would not force states and counties to pay for any services to ILLEGAL ALIENS,  the same illegals that forced hundredsof emergency rooms in CA to close.   Let law enforcement turn away all illegals except those needing emergency care.

Next send a bill to Mexico, China, etc..for all the costs their citizens have cost the US taxpayers in the form of free health care.  That alone would fund healthcare for every US citizen...  Mexico is a rich county in OIL....1,000 barrels to the US for each illegal the taxpayers have to pay for.   Oil for illegals....

End all SSI for the elderly parents of illegals that bring them in then do not support them under our current immigration laws....Liberalism has allowed this.      Third World illegals retiring here in the US on the dole on SSI disability,  while there children buy lexuses and 4,000sq ft mcmansions.   The Indians and Asians are notorious for doing this,   bring their elderly sick parents to the US then...refuse to care or support them as they are legally required to to when bringing in another immigrant..under US immigration law.

1) I guess you have never lost a loved one to the butchery of a botched surgical procedure, or encountered any of the serial malpractitioners who simply move on to a different state every time they get caught.  I guess you have never been misdiagnosed or misprescribed.  I suppose you have never been given any of those sample medications that Big Pharma ships by the truckloads to doctors (or passes out at the "conferences" they schedule, which really are fronts for parties) as promotions.  And I guess you also didn't read the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office report that analyzed cost savings arising from tort and malpractice reform:  the "reforms" that you put at the top of your list would save less than one half of one percent of all medical spending -- about $11 billion over a ten-year period.  Reform of frivolous lawsuits might save some money, but not much ... besides, the courts already do a pretty good job of tossing out the frivolous suits.

2) I thought conservatives favored states' rights?  State regulation of the insurance industry, in general, better protects the interests and needs of consumers.  State control of ALL corporate activity is how this country was originally established (and here I thought most conservatives were also strict constructivists and interested in originalism?).  If you allow HMOs to compete across state lines, it will not increase competition ... it will reduce competition to the gigantic predatory leeches that can afford to compete across state lines.  If a major corporation wishes to be "competitive", it will tailor what it offers to the requirements of each state in an innovative and productive way, or at least in the states that it wishes to compete.  THAT frees up smaller, less-capitalized groups and organizations to compete on a more level playing field, and creates true competition!

3) The vast majority of illegal immigrants currently only receive emergency care.  This is a red-herring.

4) Charging foreign governments for the health care costs their citizens accrue in this country is a waste of time.

5) People receive Social Security only when they have paid into it.  I would take your aluminum foil antenna in for a tune-up.

Socialist Agenda

Sometime in the past couple of weeks I read a quote from a famous Communist that the first institution to control in order to control the population is healthcare. This is right out of the Cloward - Piven playbook.

I heard from a famous dictator that the first institution to control was the media, which makes it easier to control what the population knows and even thinks about what is going on around them.  Part of the corporate-owned media's strategy includes providing so-called "open forums", such as this one, where even stupid people who refuse to listen to reason or facts and continue to confuse "socialism" with any and all other forms of social and political organization are given free rein to spout their ignorance.  Ignorance and confusion is but one plank in the platform of corporate control of the masses.  People like RealAmerica continue to disseminate blather and undocumented, uncited and irrelevant "news" as if it were candy ... clearly, unfettered free speech is like an opiate for those who refuse to take the time to do anything more than parrot what their puppet masters tell them to say.
