Leading by example. Way to prove you're a failure AGAIN, Dellums.

Dellums should apply for a position in the Obama Adminstration he would fit right in with the other tax cheats in D.C.

Retarded? for your edificaton here is a partial list of people appointed by Obama for various positions in his Administration who were unable to take the job offered due to the fact that they had serious problems with the I.R.S.

Hilda Solis, Nancy Killefer, Tom Daschle, Ron Kirk, Capricia Marshall, Timothy Geithner also had tax issues but got his gig anyway.

It seems you gave your questioner the short list. This has gotta be the most corrupt and lying Congress (and administration) ever.

But then, it's reflected somewhat in the various polls - the lowest ratings ever (or nearly so).

I know - allowable space precludes posting a list of ALL the violators.

But I digress - if it were you or me instead of Dellums, we'd already be playing a 20-year game of rock hockey in the big yard, instead of having our "spokespersons" making prepared statements...

I did give him he short list to match his attention span, time does not permit a full listing of the unconvicted felons that Obama ha surrounded himself with.

When you put up lies like this the only proof you have to back it up with is garbage from the drudge report or some falsified document Limbough found.  If there were any truth behind your statements, the republicans would hang them out to dry.  They are looking for ANY AND EVERY tiny shred of garbage to discredit the white house and anyone associated with the administration.

That being said, this thread was about Dellums and what a horrible job he's doing as our mayor.  If you can't check your hatred for Obama til there's a news story that's actually about him or his administration, it really goes to show how bias your opinion is about politics.

When you refer to Dellums as our Mayor I assume that you reside in Oakland, I have some great advice for you, move out as soon as you possibly can, it is all over for that once great city, I was born and raised there and even though as an adult I did no reside their I did work there for for 32 Years. It is a shame but Oakland is all done, not much to salvage any longer and that is a shame.

Yeah, my wife and I just bought a house in west Oakland, so I don't think that's gonna happen.  I agree Dellums isn't doing [bleep]e, and I hope to hell we can get a mayor next time with some balls and/or initiative.  But I don't see how bringing up Barack Obama as the guy you think is ruining the nation has any f'n thing to do with Dellums.  Really all that does is tell us all how much you hate.  I don't know if you hate just Barack, all democrats, all politicians, blacks, whatever, the fear and hate you have of our first black president is just really sad and pathetic.  I hope the suburbs turn out to be all you thought they'd be and I'm sorry you can't live in a country governed by another GWB...

You will find that the people listed admitted that they "made mistakes" on their taxes.

Translation for any other person facing the IRS..............they cheated.

Here's a great website that likes to poke holes in the lies politicians try to sell us.  I look forward to a great number of links telling me more about "they" and "their" tax evasions that would put the rest of us in prison...

Yeah, I know. We'd be on here for hours pointing out the liars and crooks in politics to the slobbering/drooling masses who keep chanting the "change" mantra.....

Hey, Isaac - how's that "change" working for you?

We don't have to go to Drudge or huffpo or any other site to tell us what's going on. We are independent and can do our own research instead of mindlessly chanting "change, change, change" and blaming others.

Get a life and take some responsibility for your actions!

I volunteered most of my time today to put a community garden at 34th and Adaline.  What did you do to make things better?

My wife and I bought a house we could afford and pay our taxes on time.  How about you?

I've never "chanted the change mantra" in my life, sounds like what you want right about now though.

pot, kettle, black.  Way to be a hypocrite.

I volunteer and donate when I can and am able to do.

But in regards to "taxes" - (the post topic) - there is a ceiling on how much you can write off regarding donation of non profit time and goods.

Uhh - back when I got hit - I think it was only $200.00, then you are outta luck. Does not help much when you owe thousands because of a sudden change in tax laws.

Not knocking the efforts of good citizens in this post - just commenting on how it really applies to taxes ;)

Thanks for helping prop up our broken-arse election system?

I like my guns and money too.  Strange thing is, seems like you republitards and/or dittoheads are the ones obsessed with "change".  Sure me and all of my intellegent friends voted for Obama, but we voted because he's the more intellegent of the politicians running, not because we thought he'd enact some great "change" that you all think (McCain was a better choice, really???).  I mean, apparently "change" is happening because Rush and Sean keep talking about how we're becoming a communist country, I just don't see it...

I've volunteered through several community organizations for the past 20 years - averaging about 600-800 hours per year in Contra Costa and Solano counties. That includes the Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, food banks, etc... and is on top of working a full-time job.

We bought our house in 1981 and paid it off in 1998. We've always paid our taxes on time.

As far as wanting change - you're right. I'm tired of the career politicians looking solely to feather their own nests at the expense of the people. I have a problem with people voting for/electing someone who hasn't demonstrated his capabilities. It just so happens that most of them are representing the current party in power in Congress, the White House and the state legislature.

Nowhere did I say the other side was perfect. All the lifelong politicians need to get tossed out on their collective butts and learn what it's like to WORK for a living - instead of just talking about it.....like Obama and Dellums. They've got no concept of reality.

Not sure how that makes one a hypocrite......

When will the liberals learn to elect qualified people, not thieves who make them feel good about their houses in the hills.

My guess is when the conservatives learn to elect qualified people, not closet-gays on meth who preach about family values and lie about their sexual orientation?

the news has commented on what it was owed for...does not necessarily mean he cheated. Could possibly have compounded (three years can do a lot to a tax debt if not handled).

It is a large sum though - maybe related to property who knows -

Not trying to stick up for 'em - but might be best not to jump to conclusions - wait and see "why"

Sometimes you get a really bad accountant who gives horrific advice. Or you do something you think will help pay the extra bills

Had that happen once - bought some property at the end of the tax year and took on a second job to help pay the debt of the property. Shoot - better off not taking a second job! I ended up owing more than I made - make sense to you? Not to me at the time the tax man dropped by.

He sits on the chair of the group that wriites tax law and he now has a big tax problem. What happened to the "culture of corruption" talk we heard so much from Nancy Pelosi?
