I actually received a reply on this complaint ... it was the spam filter used by these message boards that censored "socialism", not because of the word, itself, but because it contained the word "cialis" within it.  Someone was posting spam to the message board related to that wonder drug, and it was easier to just change letters whenever that combination of letters appeared than to monitor every message that arrived to see if the spam was connected to it.  This made perfect sense to me, and I am guessing no one posted a notice because why attract attention to a childish prank that anyone could pull to take down the entire board.  As to attaching hyperlinks ... same issue; someone (or ones) attached links to viruses or to sites that were not above board, so they just banned them all.

I should have gone back and posted this explanation under each of the topics I initiated, but I got lazy.  Sorry.
