Tis true, tis true, the AMA has announced july national Cankle awareness month. We'v all seen those knee to ankle legs on women without a calf. Seems it is a health indicator for future circuatory stoke and mobility problems.
There is hope, however. Aerobic exercise and jumproping can improve those unsightly CANKLES.
In the land of obesity and sedentary lifestyles CANKLES are now being seen on younger and younger people.
For the desperate, Plastic surgeons can do Lipo on those fat heavy calfs and CANKLES for 8K but that does not reduce the risk for circulatory problems later....it just sucks out the fat.
More walking and less driving might help the CANKLE inclined. Or will the AMA make it a disease allowing disability payments??

did you read the CCtimes this morning? There are TWO articles for "fat" people! TWO!! I mean, yes, they are both in the "time out" section, but still.... Why is it okay to be unhealthy? If a person had cancer, could easily treat it but chose not to they would be a moron! however when a person is obese and can easily treat it but decides it's beautiful, it's excepted.
weird but true

I couldn't put my finger on why thoses articles bothered me so much. Your insight is right on! Obesity is a treatable disease that can -- and does -- kill. Embracing it because it's easier to be fat instead of fit is crazy.

I am not anti "weight challenged" or anything, just found it hilarious that the AMA declared July national Cankle awareness month, it just happened by coincidence to be broadcast the same day the article on Obesity made the CCTIMES. ;}
I frown each time I see more and more of those electric scooters at stores and very obese individuals wheeling around....blocking the aisles.......wouldn't walking do the person good while their filling up their carts to overflowing with junk food??? A little Common sense would go along way
