Let me satrt by saying What's up "RAIDER NATION" !!! I hope the reports arent true that Kiffin & Co. arent expecting much out of DMAC. I hate the comparisons to Reggie Bush. We all know DMAC & Adrian Peterson are 2 different types of backs. AP has POWER and SPEED, DMAC has SPEED and MORE SPEED. DMAC is no Reggie Bush by far, infact he's better than R. BUSH. With the Zone Blocking Scheme (zbs) we use DMAC is PERFERCT for it. He's a one cut down hill runner who is not afraid of contact. I just dont want to see Kiffin using him like they used R. Bush at USC. I'm very excited to see Dmac, Michael Bush and Fargas together. If our D can shape up we're in business !!! Let me know what you guys think !!!

How to judge McFadden... not a powerful back like Adrian Peterson, but not as elusive as Reggie Bush. McFadden should thrive under Coach Kiffin nonetheless... if he is utilized as a "Reggie" type in a USC offense. One thing is certain, had the defense stopped the run or even marginally disrupted the opposing running backs, we would not be discussing McFadden unless the Raiders had traded up for him.

Mr. McFadden is better than reggie b for the NFL, but we must concede that reggie bush had a much better college career than DMAC. Mr. McFadden will gain over 1200 yds multiple times in his career and score 10 plus TDs many more times than reggie. He is faster, and a little stronger than reggie, Darren's frame also allows for him to gain more weight to take the abuse from Pro football, he may even generate more speed from that extra power from gaining a little more weight. It is now time to business. It is now time for the NFL. It is now time for the professionals. It is now time for the Raiders.

Let me start with while I didn't want to draft DMAC he is here and as a faithful member of RAIDER NATION he has my support. But lets be clear, r bush had a better college career and contact was not DMAC's friend. I saw a lot of his games he wasn't running over a lot of defenders, infact I'd say r. bush broke more tackles than DMAC in college. Having said that, our zone blocking scheme is great for DMAC but he won't see the 5yard holes he did in college. DMAC and MBUSH by the end of the year will be our 1-2 punch.

Watching DMac's highlights, one cannot argue that his yards after contact are questionable. Coming out of college, Justin Fargas ran a 4.3 sec 40 yard dash; needless to say that having speed is no longer a guaranteed homerun, not with the likes of bigger, stonger, FASTER linebackers in the mist. Comparing Reggie Bush and DMac in their respected last years of college ball is like comparing apples to cement- different style offense and surrounding talent.

reggie bush is the best college player ever.9 out of 10 people will say that. but there is no way he ran over more people in college than DMAC.that is just stupid. and he is not stronger. DMAC is a stud and THE NATION is in 4 a treat. cris carter, mel kiper and steve young all said McFadden will be better than AP.

reggie bush the best college player ever? you gotta be freakin' kidding me! 9 out of 10 people???? really, well yeah maybe if the 10 were his family members. i guarandamntee you that if you asked 10 people with any knowledge of college football whatsoever, say before 2005, you'd be lucky to get 1 of them to name him the "best college player ever". if you even polled 10 die-hard Trojan fans or 10 USC alumni, you wouldn't get 9 to name reggie bush. reggie bush would never even be considered the best USC player ever, even top 5 would be debatable in my opinion. pete carroll and lane kiffin wouldn't even say he's the best USC player ever, let alone the best college player ever! you're talking about a guy who wasn't even an every-down back at "Tailback U". take the Rose Bowl loss vs. Texas for example, was reggie bush even the best player on the field in that game????? hmmmm. i could just off the top of my head give you at least 20 guys who were better college football players in their careers than reggie bush. but just to save time, i'll narrow it down to USC players alone.......... marcus allen, charles white (guys who were workhorses back in an era when teams actually played D in the Pac-10), tony boselli, matt leinart, carson palmer, .......i could go on. you're right about reggie bush, though, he never ran anyone over. as far as being an every-down back in the NFL, mcfadden has physical makeup to hopefully become that player......like tomlinson, marshall faulk......guys who were workhorses yet could split out and run routes like a WR. i would be absolutely shocked if mcfadden doesn't ultimately have a significantly better NFL career than reggis bush when it's all said and done.
