Kindergarten Throw Up Mess!!!

My grandchildren go to Vintage Parkway School and I have never in my years of bringing my children and now my grandchildren to school ever ran across something like this.  A child in kindergarten throws up on the playground and another child steps in it.  The parents now want the parents of the child that threw up to pay for the shoes because they are "ruined".  What is this world coming to when you can't send you child to school without having to pay because some other parent has this notion that kids shouldn't get dirty at school.  WASH THE FREAKIN SHOES PEOPLE!

Kids will be kids and accidents happen.  There are a million things that happen on the playground and if each parent asked the other parents to pay for what their kids accidentally ruined it would be a madhouse. Seriously, I'm sure there is something in the dress code about sending your kids to school in safe, sturdy clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. This is the craziest thing I have ever heard...just wash the shoes!!! how lazy can some parents be?

While it is utterly ridiculous to be looking for fault in this situation, I will go there anyway - even though all common sense tells me not to.

If the parents are looking for payment from the person responsible for getting vomit on the shoes, shouldn't they be asking their own child for the money?  After all, that child should have been looking where he/she was stepping.

Thank you, I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought like this.  I think if the parents pay for the shoes, it would be only to shut the parents up, not to admit guilt!  You're right, the guilt lies with their child.  Again, WASH THE FREAKIN SHOES PEOPLE!
