Is it just me or didn't Oakley become a city so that there would be local control over important issues. Like public safety, which seems to me like is still in the county control, due to our city leaders bickering over petty issues. Yes I am sure that the county is just as much at fault here as Oakley is, but did the county lose anything. People we need to stand up and demand leadership from our council, and city admin. The state of the Fire Department is a tragedy waiting to happen. Is the loss of proper funding and allocation of resources controled by the East County Cities worth a piece of real estate?
