Non-profit organizations MUST state exactly who the fundraising is going to benefit. Hopefully the Pittsburg community as these folks are asking for $30-$60 Fee. Mind you this was originally advertised as $15 Adults and $5 Minors.
Lots of info about the event but not much about Federacion Jalisco Norte De California. As you might know PITTSBURG residents are raising funds to help the youth of Pittsburg. How is this fundraising going to help us here in Pittsburg.
After reading the CCCT article I visited their website. There is no explanation as to what their mission is, let alone what happens with the moneys they raise. See Publication 18 of the California State Board of Equalization.
As a matter of fact their delegation was to make a City Council presentation Aug 17th and no representative showed to the Council Meeting.
Did you know that in the last visit from Pittsburg Leadership the City of Pittsburg donated surplus computers to Yahualica?
Why not sell them and use the money for our broke city youth programs?
What will they donate this time?
I mean, really... Federacion Jalisco Del norte De California has been only a legal organization since 10/24/2007 out of San Diego CA, and Yahualica International Benefit Organization, Inc. since 8/24/2008 out of Bay Point CA. Interesting enough, City of Pittsburg and Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce behind these organizations.
