......then let the two 1/2 guards figure out who belongs where during practices and let AR claim the PF position. Curry and Ellis will develop a successful working relationship and Randolph will prosper.
If the Warriors have a shot at picking up Amare Stoudemire, they should go for it. They shouldn't give up Biedrins in the trade because he's our best big man and and only true center on the roster. There's a lot of duplication on the roster with players who have the same skill set/style of play. Ellis/Curry: two 6-3 guards with SG skills who are attempting to play PG. Jackson/Maggette: two offensive minded SG/SF who can dominate games occasionally, but can also bog down the offense with their ball hogging. Azubuiki/Morrow: two 6-5 swingmen who can score and bring energy off the bench. I say offer Curry, Brandan Wright and Corey Maggette to the Suns, take it or leave it. Injury history aside, Stoudemire could fit well in the current system and wouldn't have to carry the scoring/rebounding load because he'll have plenty of help. It wouldn't cost the Warriors much because they already have similar players in Ellis and S-Jack. Wright should be moved because Randolph is clearly the better player between the two and has a much bigger upside. Nelson should recognize that Wright is only going to hinder Randolph's development. Maggette is included to make the salaries fit. The trade would benefit both teams. The Warriors would get they PF they need and move players that are clogging their substitution rotation. The Suns would get their heir to Steve Nash, a decent PF prospect and a proven 20 ppg swingman who could start or be a solid sixth man. Make it happen!
By the way, the Warriors should re-sign subs, CJ Watson, Morrow and Rob Kurz. They are solid role players who played hard, did what was asked of them and showed that they fit in well with Nelson's system. The Warriors need to set up a core of reliable bench players and stop their practice of stocking the roster with "garbage in, garbage out" substitutes. It wouldn't cost much to lock these guys up on 2 or 3 year deals. Stop wasting time with guys like Marcus Williams or over the hill retreads like Chris Webber.
