It is barely 2 months till soccer season starts. No more 3A and 2A this year, but Division I (ex-3A) and Division II (ex-2A). No more at-large selection and seeding meeting either. An anonymous panel will follow the season, and will meet behind closed doors to decide at-large berths and seeding.

This said, what are your predictions for league winners:

EBAL: DLS, SRV or Amador?

DVAL: Clayton Valley?

DFAL: Las Lomas?

BVAL: Pitt?

ACCAL: Richmond or Berkeley?

BSAL: Piedmont, Kennedy-R?

HAAL: BOD or CV?

MVAL: Newark?

I think everyone needs to keep in mind one major factor in all these teams this year. Academy. seeing as players who are members of these teams can't participate in high school soccer, its going to change the teams  who usually do well dramatically.

EBAL: I'm going to throw LHS out there. It was a young team the last couple years, but with most of these players more developed, its going to make a huge impact. they are sure to be seen as an underdog though.

BVAL: Pittsburg. Tough team. a little dirty, but a good sturdy team. always put out a great effort that seems to get them results

ACCAL: Richmond. i think its self explanitory.

I completely agree that a lot of schools will be crippled due to the new academy rules. But, i also know that there are many players who have already committed to colleges and are dropping academy to play high school. So maybe it wont have such a great impact on teams this year but still an impact...
