It's a no grills, no frills park. Can you sit on that long rock wall? I see people sitting on blankets spread out on the grass. It is a very nice park now. When I have driven by it looks like a lot of families are enjoying the improvements. I haven't heard too many complain about it (until now :) Good to have you back posting Berlin. Maybe there's plans for some benches, I just don't know myself.
Your right, they should install some benches, there is plenty of room. But there is this new invention call a blanket, you may have heard of it? Bring a blanket and sit on the grass like the old days. We spent the afternoon down there with my daughter and my wife and I sat on a blanket.
I hear that Berlin, if I lay down on the ground I can't get back up. I'd have to pick a spot under the swing set just so I could use the chains to pull myself up from the ground. If I camped out there though, the kids would probably kick me when they swing by or some parent would call the cops thinking I was a weirdo. I couldn't really sit on that seawall either because of no back support, so the only other option I see is to B.Y.O.C. (bring your own chair). Isn't there a Salvation Army thrift store right across the street that might have a nice recliner? LOL

I'm sure they didn't put benches there to keep people from sleeping on them:)

well, in the good old days there were no playgrounds like that, also in the good old days i was younger and could bent over, sit on the grass etc.
i like to think that if we redo a park like we did, there should be somekind of benches/ grills/ tables in the plan.

It would probably be pretty comfortable for BJ's back. I hear it's overstuffed.
