I have been reading many articles and publications on the Raiders Off-Season moves as many of you have. There are likely quite a few over reaches on talent and a real chance for mal-content players to blow up the team. HOWEVER, I have come to this conclusion, is there a real difference between 5-11 with more stable players or 3-13 with a group of guys that have that have the potential to implode, in my opinion, no. Neither record gets you to the playoffs, one group makes the losing less ugly(stable group), one group can make the losing more ugly and draws more media attention(mal-contents). But in the end the Raiders don't make it to the playoffs and Raider fans are looking forward to next years draft. I believe the offseason moves have the potential to get the Raiders to 10 wins and are worth the risks taken by AL davis. I have some excitement looking towards this coming year, if nothing else just to see how the group will come together or at least which pieces will come together. And yes some of the players re-signed and brought in as free agents will work out and some won't. I am curious either way because of the talent and injury histories with each player. In the end it is an experiment, but one I am glad to see and support Al Davis for putting together. At this point I would rather have a team to support that has a real potential to win 10 or 11 games or implode vs. one that could improve only 2-3 games from one year to the next because the owner did not want ot take a risk and made only small changes.

I'm hoping that Comcast has plans to expand its Sports News coverage on TV, they are a Pacific Time Zone company I think. My point though is that they announced plans, after taking over Fox SportsNet, that they plan on giving BSPN a run for it by improving their coverage of sports. If Comcast is wise, they need to expand their HD cable operation and move Best Damn Sports Show to HD along with expanding the department to cover the West Coast Teams more in depth. Comcast did promise more in depth coverage and more games on TV, but the news coming out of ESPN is on the East Coast and the network goes to bed before we on the West Coast finish prime time. Better coverage of our teams may lead to a better light shined on our Raider Nation because I don't see Comcast having a bunch of Raider hating Donkeys covering sports, and if they were on the Broncos, the Network would probably have the guy in the proper mindset not to degrade ANY Sports franchise, Degrading the franchises should be left to the fans, not those who are to REPORT THE NEWS UNBIASED(take a hint NFL Live, sometimes you go too far with many teams, not just Raiders).
