Wayward Pea Hen unites 2 non profits in effort to return her home.

On Friday, May 23, 2008 Sweet Pea wandred from her home at

Deer Hill Ranch , 3232 Deer Hill Rd, Lafayette, CA.  94549  -- 925 283 1197

with her mate (as yet unnamed BUT HAS returned home)  -  "over hill and dale" to arrive at

Diablo Valley Montessori School ("DVMS") , 3390 Deer Hill Rd., Lafayette, CA 94549   --  925 283 6036

Our efforts to recapture her & bring her home have been exciting, to say the least, as she joyfully leaps and flies from ground to rooftop and rooftop to rooftop (laughing at us silly humans running around fratically with a net!

But, many of the staff and clients and parents at Diablo Valley Montessori have pitched right in and helped our staff members in our attempts! They are keeping our net handy near her favorite patio outside one of the classrooms in case one of them can catch her & will then call me

LATEST UPDATE! 6/6/08

SweetPea has moved from DVMS about 2 miles east into a neighbors patio & "STARES AT" her through the french doors all day!  Repeated attempts to "sneak up on her" & bring her home have failed and we are desperate for suggestions on how to or who to ask for help to bring her home to her heart broken mate.

Perhaps, with our joint efforts Sweetea will return home to DeerHill Ranch soon!
