Pittsburg High band selected to perform in Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

As a 1989 Graduate of Pittsburg High and parent of a Marching Band Member, I am so excited that my daughter will be able to experience something as fabulous as being in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Way to go to the "Pride of Pittsburg.....The Pirates Marching Shoooowwwww Band"!

Congratulations! I know you all have been working really hard on getting there. As a past coordinator of the Walnut Festival Parade, I can tell you, our parade would never have been the same without you. This is a well deserved honor, be proud of yourselves, and have a great time. I know I will be watching the parade that year.

As a band mom from Clayton Valley, my family is so proud of your band for earning the well deserved honor of marching in the legendary Thankgiving Day Parade. I have seen you perform and know that your hard work and dedication has finally paid off. You are an excellent band and we hope you have the time of your lives!! Enjoy and savor every moment!! That's just awesome. What a great experience for the kids. I hope they get the full 90 seconds on camera that is mentioned in the article. There will be a lot of recording going on.
