Sorry, Sacred Heart was clearly the better team. That blizzard of flags that the refs kept throwing marred what could have been a good rout. At least two flags kept Pit drives alive in the third.
I'll take the Irish over these kids any day. The SHC crowd was better too. At least we didn't hear chants of "bull[bleep]!" repeated over and over for penalties.

Clearly the better team? That sounds like sour grapes to me. Better tell your team to show up in the second half next time.

They did show up, so did the refs who decided to control the game with their blizzard of flags.

...tell the refs to quit throwing flags just to let Pit win.

RL78 i play left guard and defensive end for Pittsburg, how you can you say they were the better team?!?! The penalty excuse has no weight because we had 200 yards of penalty yardage ourselves. They scoed 21 points and didnt earn any of them we beat ourselves in the first half going into half time we knew we were going to win because we had the better team we just didnt execute and had to many penalties, but once we settled down in our first game keep in mind we dominated and had a 25 to nuthing run and the funny thing about it is we could of played better then we did. The bottom line is SH had 70 yards of total offense in the second half and during the second half our conditioning program that starts in January every year payed off. They were tired and slugish, while we werent even winded. That was the best San fran had to offer and we won 32-21 so tell me whos the better team?

SHC was the better team...for the first half of the game. when it comes down to it, 4 quarters are played not jus 2. Do you really want to bring up the flags..come on now, we were getting flagged left and right...we probably easily doubled SHC number of flags. That boy Yarnway is a beast but him alone was not gunna beat down 11 pirate defenders. After we started to shutdown Yarnway, SHC had nothin left for us. As far as the fans go, our crowd was louder then theirs and we played at their stadium, sad if u ask me. When it comes down to it SHC was not the better team, they did not finish what they started, and Pitt dominated. I suggest they stay down there in SF and continue to beat down on their sorry competition.

Nobody asked you. I'll take the Irish crowd over a bunch of punks screaming "bull___!" over and over again because of a flag they don't like. Pitt sputtered all over the field, even when they scored. What was it, 20 penalties? I'll give you this much... SHC's coach should keep playing the game that got the big lead and the a-slamming of pie-rats up and down the field for the whole game and not playing conservatively in the second half. I saw the better team, and it wasn't Pit.

Once again...Pitt was the better team because of the "W" at the end of the day. In your first argument you said SHC was hurt by penalties, now ur agreeing and saying we had 20 penalties. Im not understanding wat ur trying to say, but the fact that u agree we had alot of penalties says that SHC getting penalties shouldent even be a argument. SHC's coach for about a quarter did go away from him(Yarnway) and maybe that wasent too smart, but thats jus another thing that made Pitt the better team...The Coaching Staff...U saw SHC as the better team, the bay area saw Pitt.

I'd rather see us play well against good teams than blow-out cream puffs in any East Bay leagues. After SHC and MV slammed Pit to the wall, watch what happens when DLS gets a hold of your ugly black & orange uniforms and runs them up and down the field in the playoffs. (Don't look past Freedom either).
I can't believe you children can't let this go.

Congrats on beating small schools. Glad you didn't have to suit up and play with the big boys in the playoffs.

If thats the case, and if thats what it all comes down too let me ask you. Who won out of Pitt/SHC. Who got the W, and who got the L. No need to bring DeLa into it, were talkin bout Pitt and SHC!! Who the [bleep] did u play for that championship anyways, or did u jus step on the field and scrimage each other for it!!

Its been about what, 3-4 months since Pitt beat SHC. You really took the time to find this forum and bring this conversation back up?? I will give u credit, congrats on winning the SMALL SCHOOL DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP. But dont think for a single second you could suit up and play with the likes of DeLa, Pitt, Free, DV, MV, SRV, CAL, etc... U still tryin to bash Pitt because of wat we did to your Fightin' Irish. Lets not forget for a single second...

SHC CCS Champs. Pitiful-burg ends their season with a wimper. A little title from their whipped cream league and no sectional title. Thank you, DLS.
