Wow! took them a while to catch up with this guy. 90k and only a year in prison. I could pay the government five bucks a month. Hell, that's worth it to me. White collar crime really does pay.

He must be a Republican. Because if he was Democrat he wouldn't be going to jail he could get a job in Washington. Hell, maybe he could've even run the Treasury Dept. I wonder if B.O. even asked him if he wanted the job.

He should appeal the sentence on grounds thats whats fair is fair.

I know this because at his sentencing hearing the judge, appointed by a Republican govenor will suspend his sentence.  His Republican neighbors will donate sizable contributions from their investments and he will have paid his debt to the Feds.

Now that's how REAL Republicans do it.  He can hang around for another eight years and if both he and McCain are still breathing; well, then he can accept the appointment in the Treasury Dept if the Republicans are still viable.

And how much prison time has Charlie Rangel served? Tax cheat Rangel hasn't even lost his powerful job as the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, which writes the federal tax laws.  There sure is a double standard for regular people and the RICH AND POWERFUL isn't there?
