For those who were wondering what the deal with all the police and sirens was tonight, there was going to be a possible large fight involving weapons in the Mt. Hamilton neighborhood, by DRMS.

I live close and I just heard a lot of sirens and saw lights. Went outside, saw about 10 police cars all blocking the road with guns drawn. They got there just before the "crews" did as cars filled with kids pulled up and at the sight of the lights made u-turns and drove away. One of the kids looked familar and I remember that he went to some high school in Richmond or Pinole, somewhere in that region. It's amazing; I go away to college for one year and come back to find out that violence is still finding its way into Antioch from neighboring towns.

Anyway, the police response was fast, and since last summer, I've notived Antioch PD has really stepped it up. Special thanks to the police department.
