Not a very well kept secret, I fear. It's still going on and it is appalling this church doesn't own up to its sins while maintaining we confess ours to them... Organized religion, don't get me started!

Has any Catholic ever told you that you need to confess your sins? If so, they were wrong to do so, especially, since you hate organized religion. They were wasting their breath. The Catholic Church doesn't demand anyone of other convictions to confess their sins. That's utter nonsense!
I too have a problem with Biship Cummings, but you left-wingnuts are going to hate this. He's ONE of you! He openly strived to bring the gay culture into our local church by incorporating a program of sensitive training in the parochial schools.
And, where's your concrete evidence that the abuses are still going on? We have this interesting form of government in which someone remains innocent until proven guilty, but you thesbians don't understand the importance of law and order.

Look, if you believe in it and it makes you feel better for it, more power to you. But this sort of thing is rampant, most of it is unreported and concealed until the victims come forward. We had a neighbor whose son wanted to become a priest... until he found out that he was considered a toy for his teachers.

msliberty Yes, it's still going on today. Jan. we had a huge flap in Alameda County. We've al know this forever, so I can't understand why these guys weren't in prison. Why? Does anybody have any justification for not putting them behind bars. This article should incude Cardinal Mahoney.. & Law..they were the COconspirators who were aiding & abetting the crimes & the criminals. Of course Cardinal Law got promoted to the Vatican, to sit by the pope...for doing a good job of hiding & transferring, I suppose!. Mahoney just goes about his business of hiding the illegals, who the church should be supporting (if they didn't have to pay the $100 mill settlements. Leaves the US taxpayers to pick up the illegal's bills, since church no longer provides for it's flock.

Why is Cardinal Mahoney still loose.....That's why he pay the millions....to keep himself from testifying in court !! DEALS !!! DISGUSTING !!
